About MementoAtelier

Sales 46
On Etsy since 2018

In 2010, I was a pedestrian hit by a car; I should have died, but I didn’t. On the other side of this, waiting for me, was a kitten. My best friend sent me his photo and it was love at first sight; I brought he and his litter-mate sister home as soon as I could.

3 years later, both were diagnosed with FeLV, for which there is no cure. On September 21st, 2018, my beloved King passed on. Using my resin hobby, I made a necklace of his fur: a crystal symbolizing rebirth inside a spent bullet shell representing loss.

I’m still struggling with this loss. My hands are too empty. And so I’ve made my hobby into a shop where I can make memento jewelry for others, hoping that by connecting with others and creating through grief I can find peace.

I created this business because we all have stories. We all have things we're proud of, or want to celebrate, or want to keep alive. I want to help tell your story through a statement crystal just for you, so that when someone asks you about it, you get to tell your story.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

Resin is less fragile than crystal and harder to break, so these resin crystals are durable for daily wear. However, to preserve their beauty, pieces should be worn with care and not during aggressive activities or prolonged exposure to water - showering, swimming, etc. Avoid strikes or blows to the resin. Please do not use heavy commercial abrasives, tarnish removers or ultrasonic cleaners.

Custom and personalized orders

Custom work is where I get the most joy out of what I do, so I'm happy to work with you to create a memorable keepsake. I can help you brainstorm if you want a keepsake but aren't sure what you want in it!

Please see my website, for more information on the custom work process, or contact me on IG.

Exchange policy

Exchanges will be shipped once the returned item is received in its original condition within 14 days of original delivery to you. Listings from the "Sales & Seconds" section are not eligible for return.

What does "eco-conscious" mean?

I do my best to work with majority ethical and eco-friendly options. All of my natural inclusions are ethical and cruelty-free. My butterflies lived full lives and show the wear of a lived life; they come from the Ethical Butterfly Company. The default resin I use is EcoPoxy (if this is not the case, it is stated on the listing), which is the UV-friendly natural resin choice—it won't yellow or fade over time. I use natural mica pigments and dried flowers. The only "unnatural" inclusions are items such as cards, flake, or glitter, etc.

For legal reasons all items sold here are sold as CURIOS ONLY. While all creations are made in what I call sacred space, any text and/or descriptions that mention a magical/spiritual component do not a guarantee or promise a certain effect or outcome. All items are made in my home in New York City, which does have a cat residing within it for those concerned with allergens.
