About

Stitching, doodling, making

Hello and many thanks for dropping by! I am a designer maker from the South of England, currently living and working on the Kent coast, in the busy port of Dover (gateway to the United Kingdom!). I am inspired by nature – its flora and fauna, doodles, patterns and texture and like to include these elements in my work. I am constantly trying to reuse and recycle materials and items as well.

I graduated with a HND in Design Crafts with a specialism in Embroidery and a BA Hons degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design.

Albert & Edie is a new creative venture for me having previously worked under the label ‘me plus molly’ – under this label I have been featured in Josephine Perry’s book ‘The Sewists‘ (I was one of the 20 designer makers included in her book) and have also had some pages from my visual journaling included in Dawn DeVries Sokol’s book ‘A World of Artist Journal Pages: 1000+ Artworks – 230 Artists – 30 Countries‘.

It would be lovely to hear from you! Please contact me here: enq(at)albertandedie.co.uk (replace the (at) with @)

You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram.

Shipping
I aim to send all orders out within 5 working days of receipt. (I ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays). If you need your order for a special occasion then let me know and I will do my best to get it to you on time.
Please be aware that shipping fees cover MORE then purely the 'postage' of your purchased item.

Please make sure that your Etsy and Paypal addresses match. If they do not and I am unable to contact you I will post items to the address given by Etsy.

UK SHIPPING:
All orders are sent by First Class Post with the Royal Mail and should take 1-2 days to reach you. If you would prefer items sent ‘Recorded’ or ‘Special Delivery’, please contact me and a re-calculation of postage will be made. I obtain proof of postage when sending an item.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS:
Please be aware that there may be additional import duties to pay in some countries; these are outside of my control. It is the buyers responsibility to make themselves aware of their own countries customs policies and to pay these taxes if/when they are due.

I try to use environmentally friendly envelopes/packing where I can and also re-use a lot of envelopes that I have stored up over time as well.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope that you are happy with your purchase. However if you are not, please contact me if there is any problem and I will try to rectify the situation. I will look at any query on an individual basis. This should be done as soon as possible within 14 days of purchase.

Refunds will only be given on an item that is GENUINELY faulty. If returning a product to me please retain proof of posting. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning an item.

I do not accept responsibility for lost parcels except in very rare circumstances. I apologise for this but I do keep certificates/receipts, proof of postage for all orders that are sent out, as proof to you that it was genuinely sent.

Due to the range of remnants/materials used in the construction of the textile items, as well as their embellishments, I am unable to advise a cleaning method. Please be aware therefore that any cleaning attempts will be at your own risk.
