Hello,
Thank you for patronizing my shoppe. I hope you will visit often as it changes regularly.
I am open to any question or general convo, so don't be shy.I love to hear from you.

My working hours are dawn to dusk, can to can't, and anytime in between.

Accepted payment methods

  • Other Method
Payment
I accept Paypal as payment.
If you make a purchase and you haven't paid, you will receive a reminder on the 3rd day.If you haven't paid or made other arrangements by the 5th day, I will cancel the sale and assume your purchase was made in error.

*If there is a reason you need to have longer than the 5 days to pay, just convo me and we can discuss the matter.

*Other...If you do not use Paypal, I will accept a postal money order(No Bank Money Orders Please).I will only ship after the money order clears my bank.
Please convo me if you choose this form of payment for mailing instructions.
Shipping
*I generally ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. On the rare occassion that I need more time ,I will convo you and let you know.

*I ship to the address on your Etsy order... If you do not want it shipped to that address you must let me know prior to shipping. I will not pay for the shipping to a secondary address if items are returned.

*I sell a lot of items of fragile nature.I suggest that if you are buying something fragile that you purchase additional insurance for your item. It is $1.70 for up to $50.00 of coverage and $2.15 for up to $100.00 of coverage. If you want insurance, convo me and I will bill you through paypal.

* I do ship International, but will calculate shipping fee on an individual basis due to the vast differences in the weights of all my items. Please contact me so I can give you an amount before you purchase.I love my International customers and wish I could list every possible charge for every possible country but there isn't enough space on each listing to do that. Please do not feel put off by this procedure. It really is the only way I can do it to be fair.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not offer refunds as a general rule, however if your item is not as it was described , I will consider a refund.

I do not refund for accidents caused during shipping.
*See my shipping section for info on insurance.

I am more than happy to reserve an item for you, but please be sure that you intend to buy it. While on reserve, it keeps others who might be interested from buying it.Unless you make arrangements with me via a convo, Items will only be held for 5 days.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love the look, feel, and even the smell of vintage items.
This is a very subjective field.

The sizes and standards by which things were made many years ago are sometimes very different from today's standards.A size 6 shoe from the 40's will be different than a size 6 today. A butterdish in the 30's may have been round to accomodate the way butter was prepared then.Eyewear was generally smaller in the years past.Even a bracelet could have been a size difference. Just something to keep in mind when selecting a vintage piece.

The conditions of a vintage item are also subjective.
In my descriptions I will note if something has obvious issues such as chips, discoloration, scratches,or crazing.Occasionally some issues mentioned priviously, may have slipped by me, for this I apologize in advance. It is not my intention to deceive, but all of my items are at least 20 years old and vintage is always aged, and endured in order to have survived. That is it's charm. It's history. It's intrigue.
If you are reading this, I'm sure you understand these things because you are a vintage lover too,but I felt the need to state it.

It must also be stated that vintage items are not proven to be safe for childrens play and it is not my intention. Any childlike item in my shop is marketed as a collectible not a childs toy.

Please enjoy your visit to Merchantofkismet. And take ownership of pride that when you purchase vintage whether it be from my shop or someone else's(and we have some excellent vintage sellers on Etsy),that you are keeping the history alive and keeping the landfills free for years to come.
