Merquana began drawing as a toddler. Early on, her pictures told stories, at that time they were still scribbles.

After several courses and self-study, she deepened her knowledge and techniques in watercolor, gouache, copic, as well as portrait and nude drawing, botanical drawings and animal drawings.
As then, drawing is still her great passion.

She also loves fantasy. This is also evident in many of her current drawings. She draws mainly mermaids, fairies and elves.

Her stage name "Merquana" is the result of the words "sea" and "aqua", a word creation. The two words represent their preference for the water and the infinite expanse of the sea.

Merquana can already prove several publications in various literatures, e.g. in the fantasy magazine "Elfenschrift" and in various children's books.
