Returns and exchange details
Refunds and exchanges will only be granted in the extremely rare situation where your order arrived damaged. There is no guarantee that you will be given a refund unless we reach an agreement based on REASONABLE circumstances. Custom orders are NOT eligible for refunds or exchanges. RUSH ORDERS (any order that in our discussion was considered a RUSH by my standards) ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REFUNDS, as I was not given time to correct any issue that could arise due to shipping, etc.

Custom orders may be eligible for partial refund if there is an issue with the quality of product upon arrival. In order to receive a partial refund, you will need to ship the order back, undamaged, in full to be considered for a partial refund. Shipping will not be re-imbursed or refunded. To date I have never had to issue a refund of this kind.

My candles are custom, hand-poured or dipped. This means wicks may be slightly off-center, wax may appear flawed and there may be slight variations in appearance of overall product. This is due to the HANDMADE NATURE of the product. I will not provide refunds for anything related to handmade quality.

I include a standard safety label on the inside lid of soy candle tins. This is label cannot be customized, as it contains all information required of me by law.

PLEASE READ: If you have a custom order that is also an INTERNATIONAL RUSH order (look at your listing to see if you were charged a RUSH FEE and you are INTERNATIONAL if you're not within the contiguous US): If your order does not arrive on time you are not eligible for a refund due to your country's customs or any other non-domestic related delays in delivery. I provide tracking for you to deal with any International shipping issues, and will be happy to help you find out if your package is stuck somewhere..but I cannot control or be held responsible for Customs-related delays in delivery. If you can't take the risk, I urge you to consider not purchasing a RUSH and/or INTERNATIONAL order, especially for orders with a strict deadline.

By making a purchase from my shop, buyer agrees to ALL shop policies concerning payment, pricing, shipping, returns and refunds. M Design Boutique is not responsible for buyer's failure to carefully read any & all policies stated herein, prior to purchase. This sounds all harsh until you hear some of the horror stories that have happened to some sellers who didn't have it in their policies!
Payment
I do not accept cash or checks for online purchases.

Payment must be received within one week of transaction, or your order will be canceled and I will give you neutral feedback with a comment detailing that you never paid. This is done to assist fellow Etsy sellers in their experience with all customers. I will always be happy to "kiss and make up" if you convo me and re-purchase with prompt payment.
Shipping
Allow up to one week for orders to ship (non-event or non-holiday orders), although it is likely it will ship sooner. Custom (non-event) orders allow up to two weeks, depending on size and nature of order. I use USPS first class or priority mail, depending on the order. Please contact me for shipping details if you need a specific shipping deadline met.

Event orders ship to arrive within one month of your event. Not sooner. This is due to the shelf-life longevity of your candles, and the production schedule I must arrange based on the many orders I process.

For International shipping, please understand your country's customs timing and policies, as I will do my best to get packages shipped in a timely fashion. It is not in my control if your country holds packages for days or weeks past when you expect something to arrive. I WILL NOT REFUND FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROBLEMS. PERIOD.

Should you wish to check in on your order at any time, please do. However it is not within the price of these candles for me to provide constant updates and information regarding my end. Please trust my process, as it is not within my ability to scope of work to provide phone support or excessive amounts of time responding to questions. I will make sure you know enough to assure you I'm on schedule, within reason. This is not an entirely collaborative process. Once you've approved design and fragrance selection, this is my job! Relax and await your awesome candles!

Holiday shipping times are subject to the whims of the USPS. If you must have it on time, order early! Last day to ship is posted each year here. All orders on that date will ship USPS Priority Mail unless Express Mail option has been discussed and arranged in advance to be paid after shipment. If you do not have your package by December 24, 2011, it is the fault of the USPS and we will work to remedy the situation. All orders going out the final week of shipping will ship insured and with delivery confirmation so that the USPS will be responsible for any damages incurred. A report will be filed for the insurance and once the insurance is in my hands, you will be granted a refund in the case that the package was lost or damaged.

RUSH AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS PLEASE READ: If you are either a rush or international order customer, you agree to the following terms upon purchase: No refunds will be issued for customs/international shipping delays. RUSH orders are subject to alternate processes during the design phase in order to meet your deadline. You may not be shown a proof of design before I send your labels to print. In the case you did not approve design YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN A REFUND upon delivery of the candles due to design issues.

Want to avoid RUSH issues? Order early. I cannot make miracles happen because you didn't give me enough time. You will have to live with what I can do in a shortened timeline. Thanks for your kind understanding!
Additional policies and FAQs
Holiday orders for custom items will be made and shipped as early as possible, but the last day of shipping to guarantee Christmas delivery is four business days prior to the holiday. Please do not expect miracles when ordering custom items that require time to make. Rush shipping charges may apply if you and I agree on a "Rush" order status for your purchases.

PLEASE NOTE: Custom Event Listings MUST be ordered in a timely fashion, or you will be responsible for any rush fees incurred. If you are not sure if this applies to you, please contact me before placing an order on a custom event order over three days old. Thank you!

My prices do not support phone or email support outside of the Etsy conversation system. I will communicate with you, the customer only. Not your client or designer, and not members of your family who contact me via their own account regarding your order.
