Curating Shiny Objects (and saving the earth?)

Meve Vintage is a project based in Rochester, NY created by Megan and Steven. It started with a need to furnish our new home with beautiful decor and soon grew into an obsession in all things vintage.

We spend most weekends scouring the Northeast and sometimes the South (turning family vacations into business trips!) in search of the most beautiful, unique, and authentic finds. What's better: by rescuing these pieces, we get to save them from a final life in the trash, thereby reducing their eco-footprint.

How do you determine condition?

Our rating system:
Heirloom - this piece is in perfect, unused condition and contains original parts and accessories

Excellent – this piece is in great condition with very minor blemishes or tears and may have been repaired or restored

Good – this piece is in usable condition with minor blemishes or tears and may have been repaired or restored

Vintage – this piece is in usable condition but may have blemishes, tears, or other cosmetic damage

Returned to Sender Packages

If for any reason a package is returned to us due to wrong address or unclaimed status, buyer will be responsible for additional shipping costs to re-ship package. We will contact any buyer that has an unclaimed package returned to us and will hold the order for 14 days. If no response is received, the items will be relisted.

Refunds for returned packages will be given upon request, less shipping costs, and a 15% restocking fee.

Clearance Items

All sales are final on sale and clearance items

Gem and Metal Testing

Please note that we are not experts in stone or metal identification and rely on verification from acid tests, rare earth magnets, and the Presidium Gem Tester II. In the event of a misidentified stone or metal, the customer has 30 days to return the item for a refund.

Sizing details

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to resize any of our vintage rings.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Any piece of jewelry that is full price will receive complimentary gift packaging that includes a gift box and ribbon. Clearance items and irregularly sizes items are excluded.

Holds

Per request, we can hold an item for a customer for 24 hours only. After that, the item will be relisted and available for sale. Any sale prices that have expired won't be available after the hold.

Returns

Customers have 30 days from purchase to return the item. If the return is due to damage or mistakes in the listing, we will gladly send a pre-paid return label.

For returns which are for other reasons, buyers are responsible for return shipping charges. Once received, refunds will be given less original shipping costs incurred by us and a 10% restocking fee.
