About

Creating Original Jewelry is My Passion

My Shop is dedicated to my Dad for the amazing boating adventures on the Great Lakes and and to my husband Ron, who drills my agate slices!

HOW I GOT HERE!
As a kid I was drawn to rocks on the beaches of Lake Michigan, especially the Petoskey Stone. My Dad gave us a rock tumbler and then I took a lapidary class. From there, beading just felt natural. At 14 I was making gifts for my family and friends. The turning point for me was when I was laid-off from a professional career as a graphic designer, and soon after became engaged to be married. Searching for wedding decor and lighthouse cookies on Etsy started my enthusiasm for handcrafting again. I had a lot of time to think—and to look back at what I was drawn to all those years as an artist—and what I gravitated towards. Handcrafting jewelry was a great way to get out and meet people and to continue using my design background. As my academic training as an artist and my professional career merged, passion to make beaded jewelry remained. Etsy was my first shop, and I am grateful for this platform.

INSPIRATION:
Trips to Europe and boating on the Great Lakes have definitely had an effect on my art—and how I see the world—but growing up in Michigan will always have the most influence. Native American beadwork has influenced many of my ideas for color combinations and artistic style.

PROCESS/Mission:
My artistic process starts with colors and textures I bring together. From there, I sometimes work it out in a sketch. Later, a photograph of the first design concept will help me decide if I’m finished, or need to make adjustments. Most of the time, I’m experimenting. The best part of finishing a project with beautiful materials is feeling productive and relevant. I strive to impart exciting jewelry pieces that are fresh and fun. More importantly, functionality and attention to detail are paramount in my designs. My mission is to create original ideas that are timeless, become cherished heirlooms, and make people smile.

EDUCATION:
I have a Bachelors Degree in Art. I've always collected stamps, which I believe, had an impact on my professional career path as a Graphic Designer.

Payment
....{ CHECKOUT IS EASY }....
Sign up for an Etsy account, and put an item in your cart.

PAYPAL AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS processed through PayPal are accepted. Payment must be received within (4) days of date of sale to avoid a cancelled order.

NOTE TO CREDIT CARD CUSTOMERS: You do not need a Paypal account. You can securely pay with your credit card through Paypal. Click the payment button and it will give you the option to pay with credit card without signing up for a Paypal account.

If you choose to use the eCheck method to pay via PayPal (that is a transfer from your bank account that is not instant), I will be able to ship your order only after the payment clears. This usually takes 3-4 business days. For non-US customers, eChecks can take up to two weeks to clear PayPal. So if you need your purchase shipped sooner, I recommend using a credit card or "Direct Check Out" through Etsy.

Payment in full is expected immediately after purchase. Failure to submit prompt payment without explanation or response to "conversations" or e-mails will result in the re-listing of the item and forfeit of purchase.
Shipping
----{ USPS Priority Mail }----
All items to the United States are shipped via USPS and includes insurance and tracking. Delivery time ranges between (2-3) business days.
An email will be sent to you when your package has been shipped from the post office.

***Please understand: an order can only be canceled before it is shipped out***

----{ PAYPAL }----
Ships out to your PAYPAL address, NOT YOUR ETSY address, unless otherwise discussed. Please make sure your PayPal address is correct when purchasing. Please make sure the Etsy address and the PayPal address match (you can always add additional addresses to your profile at PayPal!).
DELIVERY CONFIRMATION---- You'll get an email with a link for tracking your order (check your spam folder if you don't get it, the email will come from PayPal)

....{ INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS }....
I accept International orders. Please inquire for a shipping fee quote. Also, make a note of your country's customs, fees etc., as they have increased recently.

For all non-US orders, including Canada, I ship via USPS First Class Mail International, aka Airmail. There is no way to track international first class mail packages once they leave my hands. Delivery times for international packages vary; the average, in my experience, is between 7 and 30 business days. Remember, your package might have to cross oceans and continents and will always have to pass through your country's customs office. This can take a while.

Some countries apply import taxes and customs fees on all packages over a certain price coming into the country. I can't know if your country will charge you or what the fee might be. All customs fees and duties are the responsibility of the buyer. In accordance with international laws, I include a receipt in every international package I mail out. Please contact me before ordering if you would like to pay an extra fee to have your items shipped via Registered Mail, which includes insurance and tracking.

Contact me before purchasing with any questions you may have. Thank you!

Additional policies and FAQs
....{ PACKAGING }....
All items come beautifully packaged and ready for gift-giving, most Meyer Clark Creative Jewelry Art boxes made of 100% recycled materials. I ship in bubble mailers and boxes that are also made of recycled materials.

....{ HANDMADE JEWELRY }....
All my work is created with care and attention to the smallest detail. Keep in mind that handmade jewelry will have a handmade flair. Small inclusions or minor differences in texture may occur especially with a natural substances such as, gemstones, pearls, quartz, wood, leather, silk, and vintage items. This is an expected part of doing artwork by hand and using genuine materials.

....{ CARE AND STORAGE }....
Please make sure to store your handmade jewelry in a safe place away from children and pets. I do not recommend sleeping with your jewelry on, as it creates unnecessary wear and tear. Do not wear while showering or swimming, due to delicate materials and textures such as ribbon, leather, and painted finishes. Care for your jewelry like you would a Rembrandt or Picasso!
