About

Massage Therapist Becomes Enamoured with the Art of Soap Making!

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, but I've always loved soap. That’s good, because everyone likes a clean-handed massage therapist!

I started making soap in January of 2011, and since then, my fun little soaping hobby has taken on a life of its own. It has evolved from packaging compressed balls of Epsom and sea salts as a take-home treatment for my massage clients; to formulating true soap from scratch, in the cold-process and hot-process methods.

I use the highest quality, food grade butters and oils, often organic.
These nutritive oils make a bar of soap that is very conditioning to the skin.

Much superior to the mass produced soaps you find in your local grocery, you will feel the difference on your skin immediately. This is due, in part, to the high natural glycerin content.

The saponification process (the chemical change that creates soap) makes massive amounts of pure vegetable glycerin. This glycerin is regularly skimmed off of commercial soap, to sell off for other uses.
This is too bad, because glycerin is a humectant. Our skin loves a good humectant, they attract moisture from the air to help keep our skin soft & supple.

Scent can be a gorgeous mood lifter and/or evoke pleasant memories of wonderful people, places and things.
To get the best scent, I prefer a mix of both high-quality, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and pure plant essential oils. My hand-made soap varieties range between 95-100% natural.

My soaps are formulated to be mild with abundant lather. I give them a full four-week cure. This allows all the water to evaporate and leaves you with a harder, longer lasting bar.

Sea salt soaps are cured for two months. Salt bars have the added skin benefit of being mineral-rich.

My soap will never leave you feeling dry and tight. Your skin will feel soft and conditioned. You may just skip your lotion!

I also believe that useful items you make with good intention, carry with them an energy of love and positive vibration.
I want to begin and end my days, with these lovely things.

On Soy Wax: I've had a candle-obsession for as long as I can remember, and have spent lots of money buying them over the years.

These days I am obsessed with creating my own perfect and perfectly smelly soy candles.

My candles are slow burning, and very fragrant. I add a pour-date to every tag and recommend you let your candle age at least two weeks from that date before burning. This allows for the best hot scent-throw. Older wax is highly-scented wax.

I really appreciate you stopping by, thank you for looking. If you have any questions, don't be shy, just ask!

Bella isn't allowed in my dedicated soap-kitchen, but I do run ideas past her quite frequently. This is a picture of her, while she listens to me ramble on about soap. You can see my ideas get her quite excited.

Welcome!
I'm so glad you found me. I really enjoy making high-quality soaps and bath + body products that are beautiful, functional and luxurious. I will never offer you something I do not use myself and think is great!

I have dedicated many hours to learning; research and formulation is my favorite thing to do.
My soaps cleanse gently, and lather abundantly without stripping your skin of all natural oils. Everything I develop, I test on willing friends, family and myself. I always ask for feedback and adjust the recipes until it is to our liking!

Due to the personal nature of bath and body products, I am unable to accept returns.

I take my time and pack all orders carefully. Stuff happens, anyway.
If you receive something that is broken or damaged in transit, please send me a conversation and I will replace the item(s).

I do my best to describe product description, scent, and textures as accurately as possible. Please read the listings carefully before ordering, thank you!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me before leaving negative feedback. I want you to be happy with my products. I want you to be happy with my shop and come back again. Forever and ever.
I promise, I will do my best to make that happen.
Payment
I accept Paypal, Credit Cards, and Etsy Gift Cards.
Orders will be shipped as quickly as possible after payment is received.
NYS residents will pay an 8.625% sales tax.

If you change your mind on an order and need to cancel, I will be happy to so BEFORE the box is packed, sealed, and the mailing receipt is printed. Please order thoughtfully and let me know if you need to cancel as soon as possible.
Shipping
All orders will be shipped via USPS Monday - Saturday with the exception of holidays. Your order will be ship 1-3 business days after payment unless otherwise noted (as in custom ordered soap that needs a longer cure time).

You will receive an email notification when your order has shipped.
Shipping fees are automatically calculated, but if you end up paying over one dollar of actual costs, I will refund the overage when I print out your shipping label. All orders include tracking and delivery confirmation.

I use USPS First Class shipping for all domestic orders 16 ounces or under in weight, unless a different shipping preference is chosen. Packages weighing over 16 ounces automatically ship Priority Mail. At this time, I only ship within the United States and Canada.

In the case of extreme summer heat, I ship at the beginning of the week.
It is not uncommon for product to sit in a mail truck over a long, hot weekend. Shipping at the start of the week helps to avoid this. Thanks for reading!
