I ordered the sea turtle beach tote and I was so excited about it. I love it....but I can't use it. : ( It looks awesome, but the problem I have with it is the material. I didn't realize that "wheat straw construction" means very scratchy and itchy. If you put it over your shoulder, prepare for your whole arm to be totally scratched. So your only option is to carry it by the handles away from your body. Also, the color is completely different. I thought the turtle tote is turquoise. It's grass green....emerald green. I love green but I thought it was going to be turquoise.

Hi Eve, I agree with your comments. Sadly these are the perils of shopping online. You miss out on the tactile experience. I would highly recommend shopping locally, meet the local vendors and see the items in person. It is something that the internet can never replace:)

Embroidery for Home

I began working with embroidery when I realized how much I missed being surrounded by pretty linen. And when I saw the monograms done at embroidery shops, I couldn't believe how far removed they were from what I knew being from Europe and having sewn almost all my life when I was back home. My mom was adamant about learning everything: sewing, knitting, weaving and most of all cleaning and pressing.
Today, I still embroider, clean and press each linen I work with - just as if they were my own.

I digitize and embroider monograms. I do not draw new designs unless they are easy, my talent in art is limited. My embroidery skills however, are much better. My mom taught me hand embroidery and now I use a machine. Not the same, but still pretty!

Shop policies

Most items on my Etsy shop are sold as you see them described in my listings. If any of these items can be customized, I will make a note of it under the item's description and you will have a choice of thread colors and design style included. But, as always, feel free to ask questions if in doubt, I will be glad to guide you through the process.

I accept all forms of payments. For checks please allow for funds to clear, 5-9 days depending on bank and type of check. Once I have an order that is to be monogrammed you cannot cancel. Monogrammed items are not resale-able.
Shipping is usually Priority Mail® Padded Flat Rate Envelope for small items and Priority Mail® Medium Flat Rate Box for larger items. Please request specific shipping choice before placing an order so that I can create a new listing reflecting the change. On really small items, I can ship First Class Mail (less than 130z).
Refunds and Exchanges
I offer Refunds in a few situations: the monogram does not work for you after numerous tries, you changed your mind within 3 days of placing your order or you placed your order in error in which case you need to let me know ASAP.
If a package is lost through the USPS, I will file a claim with the USPS as long as the package has insurance - highly recommended! I had packages that were lost in the past and the claim process is a nightmare - we need to make sure we're covered.
I guarantee my work 100% through thorough inspection of both embroidery and craftsmanship, all items are inspected before shipping. I am not able to accept returns on monogrammed linen. If the sewn items are defective or poorly made, I will repair them for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
