Art school dropout becomes fiber fanatic

I did drop out of art school and eventually went to law school. The artist part of me got really frustrated after awhile, but I love being a lawyer too. I started knitting during court breaks and most importantly while I was waiting on a jury or a judge to make a decision. It was a great stress relief. Then I got a spinning wheel. And I spun, and I spun, and I spun.

Even when my job keeps me super busy, I spin. Occasionally I can get enough days together to dye fiber too. When I do, it goes into the shop.

Some things about my dyed fibers:
* I start with high quality wools. I don't like burrs, boogers, sticks, etc. in my yarn so I try not to dye them.
* I use high quality acid dyes
* I don't have any recipes or color formulas. I dye what strikes me THAT DAY and I probably can't replicate it exactly. In fact, I don't even try.

Some things about my handspun:
*It doesn't have any knots.
*You can weave with it.
*You can knit with it.
*You can use it in a sock knitting machine (well, if it is sockweight yarn)
*If it is not soft enough to knit something for next to skin wear--I will tell you in the listing.

I dye fiber in my kitchen & dry it on the sun on my deck.
I spin in my living room, surrounded by my family & dogs. My home is smoke free, but dog hair will occasionally find its way into things.

Need pattern suggestions? Just send me a convo & I will tell you what I would knit/crochet with a skein.

Welcome! I am a fiber addict. My need to create has now overcome my ability to find storage space or time to knit & crochet. So here in the shop you will find high quality handdyed fibers and handspun yarns spun from some of the best fibers around.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I hope you are blissfully happy with your yarn or fiber and will do my best to accurately represent the items in the store. If you are not happy, please let me know and we will work something out.
Payment should be made within 2 days of purchase. I will ship when payment clears.
I will ship the least expensive method available, usually first class mail. If you require insurance or delivery confirmation, please convo me prior to payment and I will send you a new invoice to reflect the change in price.
Additional policies and FAQs
I share my workspace and life with two long-haired Chihuahuas. They don't knit, spin, or even pay any attention to fiber, but they do shed and if you have allergies please take their presence into consideration.
