5 out of 5 starsWhat a happy looking snowman topped jar of peppermint sticks that is detailed and very well made. Delighted with the item and it was worth the long wait for its arrival (NOT the fault of the seller but due to postal strikes in the UK and the Royal Mail hacking.) Highly recommend!

Fantasy Miniatures by Michael Robbins
Hi there!
My name’s Michael. Around 12 years ago, I stumbled across the world of miniature and it was not going back! After collection on and off for a number of years, I attended my first miniatures as a visitor around 7/8 years ago now and was completely taken back by all the incredible handmade work in the mini world!
Around 6 years ago, I decided to give making minis ago myself and so began Michael R Miniatures
I have always had a love of fairytales and fantasy stories that offer some escapism and a change to be whisked off to a magical world
This love of fantasy and magic then began translating into my mini work. Pumpkins, toadstools, plants and inanimate objects all began taking on anthropomorphic features and my magical characters became alive!
I predominantly work in polymer clay and all my work is handsculpted without the use of moulds to ensure ever character has their own unique personality and characteristics.
My work is usually made in 1/12th scale (the common scale for miniature dolls houses) but I also work smaller into 24th (half) and 48th (quarter) . The fantasy aspect however enables me to play around with scale so my work can be displayed in a variety of different scales.
I have also recently been lucky enough to be a contestant on More4’s ‘The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge’ with Sandi Toksvig. (Can be watched on All4 streaming service)
Whether you are an avid miniature collector, a doll collector, collect trinkets, or are simply looking for something unusual to perhaps frame for your full size home, I hope I can add a little magic with my characters .
