Hi, my name is Micha. I am a painter and professional graphic designer. For a long time, I practiced portraiture with pastels, watercolor and oil. In recent years, drawing on a graphics tablet has become my second passion. Today I work mainly with a digital brush. These new techniques offer me an infinity of possibilities and allow me to make the portrait on order for much more affordable rates.
I am extremely passionate about my work, I have been drawing ever since I remember.
I pride myself on my customer service and attention to detail. Each portrait I produce is a one-of-a-kind portrait that my clients can treasure for many years to come.
I like to work very closely with my clients and I am not happy until you are 100% satisfied with your unique portrait. I use photographs to draw from , and I ask my clients to provide a selection to generate a true likeness with the finished portrait.
If you wish to ask me anything at all regarding commissioning your own portrait, the booking processs, please do not hesitate to get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose the options.
2. After purchase, send me your image(s) via Etsy message or to michaportraits [!at] orange.fr
3. I will send you preview picture to accept via Etsy within 1-5 days after purchase.
4. Unlimited revisions until you are 100% happy with your portrait.
5. After receiving acceptance: Once you are happy, I will send you the final portrait.

A few things about images you send me

• The quality of your photo is the most important thing for the aspect of the finished work.
• The quality of your photo can affect the maximum size. I will tell you what can I do.
• Please send me several pictures, from different angles, posture or attitude.
• Close-ups are better.
• Bright lighting works the best (outside or in bright rooms).

I accept commissions for all over the world so feel free to view some examples of my work and get in touch if you would like to commission your very own portrait.
The photographs I receive and use as references for my artwork is the absolutely most significant part of the painting process. Since I work from photos, the completed portrait depends on the quality of the photos you send me.
The Photo is key, so please provide with the best photos you have and try to send as many photos as possible.
LEVELS - Take the photo at eye level.. The best angles are with your your subject looking straight at you or with their head slightly tilted to one side looking past the camera.
QUALITY - The very first thing I look for in a photograph is the quality. It is highly important that the photo is sharp and in focus.
However, if you only have an old photo, contact me anyway so that I can tell you if I can still get a nice portrait of it.
LIGHTING - Take your photo in natural light, preferably outdoors. The best time is on a bright overcast day but not in direct sunlight as this can cast some unflattering images.
Turn Flash 'OFF' - Please NEVER use flash. Flash causes a number of problems and looks very unflattering. It often masks out a lot of detail, causes unnatural shadows and colours, and can often result in the dreaded red-eye or eye glowing effect.

Frequently asked questions
Do I see the final portrait before purchase?
You must purchase first, we will discuss details, and your portrait proof will be sent to you a few days later. You have final approval over portrait.
How long will my portrait take?
Your portrait will usually take 2 to 7 days, but turnaround can be shorter if it's not busy or up to 2 weeks during peak periods. Please inquire before purchasing if you are trying to hit a major event or need it quickly.
How to send the pictures for my order?
Please send them via Etsy message or to my email : michaportraits@orange.fr
Do I get a print delivered?
If you have chosen the "paper print" option you will receive your printed portrait by post.If you have opted for the "digital file" you will receive the high resolution file on your email address.
Printing tips and advises
There are lots of creative ways to use your files! You can find closest printing centers online, they print from custom designs on stretched canvases, different kinds of paper, T-shirts, mugs, phone cases... etc. You can use your portraits to create greeting cards, wedding invitations, thank you cards, or use like avatar or profile picture. I can provide .psd,.png,.jpg files. Contact me if you have any question.
