Petals & Palettes...

I grew up in the Mohawk Valley region of New York State. Beautiful country. Long walks in pastures, surrounding woods, dirt roads & meandering streams developed my love of nature and all the perfect details it shares. From my earliest memories I loved being outdoors. Songbirds, chipmunks, rabbits, frogs etc. that came along side me became my companions. I imagined them keeping conversations and leading me to their places in nature.

My kindergarten teacher fashioned me a construction paper pin that read, "My Little Artist." She planted the seed and am so grateful my grade school art teachers helped it grow!
In my junior year of high school I found room in my schedule to add an art class. The art teacher approached me and told me that she thought I had something special. It wasn't easy to take the steps necessary to ready myself for college but she walked through every step with me. She gave me courage, purpose and direction. I entered a two year college art program (MVCC) and graduated with highest honors and my name on a plaque as the top student. From there I went to RIT in Rochester, NY where I earned my BFA with highest honors in Graphic Design. I worked full time all through college and taught myself watercolor. Most of my hobbies have developed into part of my career.

I have been blessed with a very supportive husband, daughter and son. Their love and support... patience and participation allow me to work as a professional artist.

Through my years as an ad designer, assistant to college Deans, gallery assistant and participant juried art festivals~ I dreamed of running my own studio. I had an annual Christmas Open House & Art Sale in our home each November. It was always an amazing show and it helped me to realize I needed to find a way to share more of my designs. We are blessed with fantastic partnerships in fabric through Red Rooster Fabrics. Calendars with Legacy Publishing Group. Puzzles, note cards, flags, coasters, ornaments... wonderful companies partner with us and bring my artwork to unique products!

Thank you for joining me in this exciting art journey!
Wishing your heart every joy~
