Shop policies
With a lifelong love of storytelling, my work tends towards the mythical and mystical, from ancient folklore to the tall tales we tell in the dark! In fact, many of my works begin as short stories or poems, which I then turn into illustrations.
*How it's made*
I hand make all of my artworks using traditional methods, from fine detailed papercraft to hand carved lino prints.
I use eco-friendly materials like recycled paper and vegetable-based inks in my work, without compromising on quality.
Occasionally I collaborate with production partners to bring you certain products. When this is the case, I partner with locally owned and run businesses

Privacy
I want to make sure you can shop with Mickeypip with confidence, that’s why I take the privacy of your personal data very seriously. With the EU’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) coming into force for 2018, I’ve updated my privacy policy to make things clearer for you. Read on to find out how and why I collect your personal data, what I collect, how I use it and how I keep it safe.
What data do I collect?
When you place an order through my Etsy store, I may collect the following personal data to fulfill your order:
• Your name
• Your Etsy username
• Your postal address
• Your email address
• Payment info
• Details of the product you’re ordering
And, if you’re ordering a gift for a friend or relative, I may also collect:
• The gift recipient’s name and postal address
• Personalisation details for a custom order.
Why do I need your data and how do I use it?
I primarily need your data to fulfill your order and provide customer support. This might include things like: posting your order, settling disputes or contacting you to confirm custom order details.
I may also collect, use and share your information if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim (such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law), or to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Don’t worry, I won’t add your info to any marketing database, and I certainly won’t sell your data on.
When might I share your data?
Your data and privacy is very important to me. I use your data primarily for the purpose of providing you with my services and will only ever share your information in very limited circumstances. For example, I may need to share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
I may also share your information with core service providers, such as Royal Mail/Post Office or a nominated courier company for the purpose of delivering your order.
Other instances might include: Business transfers (e.g. if I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law) and Compliance with Laws (e.g. if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others).
Where do I store and protect your data?
Any personal data I need to store for the purpose of fulfilling your order is stored in password-protected accounts.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions, including Microsoft Outlook and Google Drive. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer.
How long do I keep your data?
I keep your data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill your order and provide customer support (as described elsewhere in this policy). I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for 4 years.
Need more info?
For the purposes of EU data protection law, I, Michelle Collier, am the data controller of your personal information when you interact or transact with Mickeypip.
If you have any questions about this policy, please get in touch. And remember, as a customer you’re entitled to access, view, amend, restrict or delete the personal data that I hold about you at any time. Just email: mickeypip [!at] hotmail.com
I will generally delete your personal information upon request, unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
If you live in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
By purchasing from my store you accept the terms of my Privacy Policy as outlined here.
Please note: By ordering through Etsy, your data may be stored on the Etsy platform (e.g. in your Etsy account). Please contact Etsy directly if you have any questions regarding their Privacy Policy. The same goes for any other associated accounts you use to complete your transaction (e.g. Paypal or your online banking provider).

Frequently asked questions
Are your papercuts laser cut?
Most of my papercuts are completely handmade by me with my trusty scalpel. However, every now and again I offer laser cuts of larger pieces to make them more affordable to my customers. These are always based on scans of the original handcut pieces to retain the quirks. Check the listing text to see if a piece is handcut or laser cut.
Custom and personalised orders
I love making bespoke pieces of art, and often make custom pieces for my customers. Please contact me to discuss your idea.
Wholesale availability
Many of my items are short run editions or one-off pieces. However, certain pieces can be made in higher runs for wholesale purposes. Please drop me a line to discuss.
