About Micro Library Books
Micro Library Books was established out my desire to design, print and assemble limited edition pocket-sized illustrated books and packaging.

In 2012 I founded Micro Library Books; a publishing platform specialising in pocket-sized editions and published my first miniature as a set of illustrated books entitled 'The Engineerium Micro Library Box Set'. This set contained 48 of my own speculative illustrations of decommissioned engines printed across 6 miniature hardbound, accordion-fold books. The books themselves were assembled from several A4 sheets of paper, which were printed, cut, folded into 8-pages, and bound by hand in calico-wrapped card covers. The packaging that housed the six books was also a printed A4 sheet of paper, which was cut, folded and formed into a protective box. Each finished copy of the Engineerium Micro Library is carefully assembled by hand taking over two hours to complete.
After running three workshops instructing others on how to make their own pocket-sized books and it was during this time that I worked on the design and layout of a diary to be used during the year 2014. The Micro Library Diary consisted of two miniature diaries made from several sheets of printed, cut and folded A4 paper and calico-wrapped card covers. Two interlocking printed-paper sleeves enwrap both the diaries and complete the pocket-sized package.
A new focus for 2017 is collaborating with illustrators, writers and photographers to produce co-created books.
