Midnight Creative was born in the between hours – between chasing after my two younger sons and worrying after my now grown one, between friendships and marriage, between career building and homemaking. Between it all, I was constantly looking for moments to create and express myself through craft.

While I have explored everything from stitching felt books, painting fairytale-themed matryoshka dolls, and playing with polymer clay, it wasn’t until I stumbled upon punch needle rug hooking in early 2017 that I knew I had found the medium that I was meant to pursue more fully.

Often called "painting with wool" punch needle lent itself well to a graphic designer and serial crafter like myself who had a variety of projects in mind, while allowing me to delve deeper into a single medium. My work is often influenced by my German-Canadian heritage, and motifs found in nature.

In 2019, I became a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor, and offer workshops in and around Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My Oxford training ensures I can further support you on your punch needle journey by providing sound advice and guidance with your projects. Questions are always welcome!
