Frequently asked questions
When will my item ship?
***Special shipping announcement* With all of the recent changes to USPS and Covid 19 I have still been seeing shipping delays and odd processing.
When will my item ship?
*Transit times do not include processing times.
All items are handmade to order. Current processing times are 7-10 business days.
Orders are put into production once a week on Mondays and ship by Friday at the latest. Orders placed on or after Monday will not go into production until the following week.
Unfortunately, WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS RUSH ORDERS at this time, thank you for your patience.
How do I know my ring size?
We don’t recommend sizing at home or using the print out sizers that you use on your finger because they tend to be inaccurate. If you have a ring that does fit you can print out our sizer: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1091/8938/files/MidnightJoRingSizer2020.pdf
If you don't have a ring that you can measure using our print out sizer we highly recommend getting sized by a jeweler; even places like Target or Kohls can size you. Another option is to purchase one of these sizers that we can mail to you: https://www.etsy.com/listing/251814577/plastic-adjustable-us-ring-sizer-kt0000
We are always happy to resize your ring (soldered rings are NOT resizeable) so long as you pay for shipping back to us. Please keep the ring in new condition.
Can you put a certain year on a State or National Park coin ring?
Unfortunately this is not possible as each State was only minted a specific year. The state and park quarters have the years that they were minted on them (i.e. Colorado quarters ALL have 2006 on them because they were only minted in 2006).
Will this ring turn my finger green?
Some of our coin rings are made out of everyday coins which are copper/nickel clad and are likely to turn your fingers green. Our optional solution to this problem is powder coating which can be added to your purchase: https://www.etsy.com/listing/255434248/add-powder-coat-to-your-midnight-jo-item
The best solution to this problem is to order your ring in silver:

National Park - https://www.etsy.com/listing/263612772/silver-national-park-coin-ring-90-silver

Is it legal to make jewelry out of coins?
The United States code states it is only illegal if done fraudulently. The key word being fraudulent, you are only violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. You know those souvenir penny smashers? Those are legal and so is making jewelry from coins.
