Welcome to my new shop!

All of my handmade findings are made with pliers and creativity (never a jig) so there may be some variations from piece to piece, but being the perfectionist that I am, I do try to make sure that every item sold in a pack will be as close to exact as possible.

Earwire ends have all been filed (de-burred) for comfort and all items have been tumbled for strength unless otherwise noted.

If you would like smaller or larger quantities of an item in my store, if you would like something made to order (including having something made with or without oxidation) or if you would like to find out if I can make an item available that has been previously sold, feel free to convo me any time.

I do carry some commercially produced items (wire and headpins) for people who would like to do a little one-stop shopping.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, feel free to contact me as soon as possible (within 3 days of receipt) to discuss how to proceed. Items (unless defective) must be in re-saleable condition upon return. Any refunds/returns will be done minus shipping costs.
I accept PayPal for purchases. If your PayPal payment comes out of your checking account (e-check) it will take approximately 4 business days for your payment to clear and at that point your item(s) will be shipped out.

If you request a custom listing, I require payment within 3 days of your item being listed, unless otherwise agreed upon.

If you must cancel an order, send me a conversation and I will have it canceled so long as I haven't already sent your order out.
I will ship items 2-3 days a week at the very least, as my work schedule permits... I always try to ship out as soon as I possibly can but most often I'm unable to ship out the moment the post office opens the very next day. I ship by USPS First Class Mail. Please make sure that your Etsy and PayPal addresses match... if there is a discrepancy, I will wait to ship your order until I know for certain where you would like it sent. I will not be responsible for lost, misdirected or damaged mail items... I will do my best to ship as recommended by USPS to avoid problems from my end but I cannot control what happens once a package leaves my care. If you would like insurance, delivery confirmation (domestic only) or Priority shipping, please let me know *before* you pay so I can send a revised invoice reflecting the additional cost.
Additional policies and FAQs

Q. Do you do custom orders?

A. Yes, I do some custom orders. Unfortunately, I'm not a full-service jeweler so there are things I'm just not able to do, but most of the requests I get are easy and those I'll do without any problem! But if you see something done in a certain metal but you want it done in something else, I can do that. If you see something in one finish (plain or some sort of oxidation) and you want it done differently, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you!

Q. How long do custom orders take?

A. I've got a busy schedule (I work full-time outside my home) aside from my Etsy shop so I always give myself about a week to get a custom order done. Most often it takes between a few minutes to about 2 days to do an order for someone but as soon as I tell someone that, something will go horribly wrong and it will take longer. A pleasant suprise in the form of getting your items quicker is better than it taking twice as long as promised.

Q. How long until I have to pay for my items... regular purchase or custom order?

A. I would prefer items be paid within 3 days of purchase and/or your custom listing being posted in my shop.

Q. Will you need to contact me about anything?

A. Sometimes I do have questions about custom orders, and very rarely about regular orders. Please make sure you check your conversations on Etsy (by clicking "conversations" at the top of the page) often just in case I (or any other seller) need to contact you. I may try to email you, but I prefer not to communicate via email since I don't check it all that often and might miss something. I never figured out smoke signals so we won't even go there. If I do not hear from you or my questions remain unanswered for whatever reason, I reserve the right to cancel that order (and any other order associated with it), but I prefer not to do that so please do help me out with that!

Q. Will you contact me when my order has shipped?

A. I had been sending convos to everyone when I sent orders out but it got to the point where I was feeling that I was close to being muted by Etsy's evil spam bot so I stopped doing it. I might start back up again, it just depends on how things go. Chatty Cathy doesn't ever want to be muted.

Q. When will you ship my order out?

A. I do my best to ship orders out as soon as I can... it all depends. I ship items out at least 2-3 days every week... sometimes every day the post office is open so long as my work schedule permits. My work hours are pretty much the same as the post office's hours but I do the best I can. I wish I could run right out and mail items out the moment I get an order, but it's just not possible at this time. Maybe I should look into working at the post office..... hmmmmm........

Q. Will copper turn my skin green?

A. It might. It might not. I hear it depends on your skin's chemistry and I don't know much about that kind of stuff... I tried my hardest to fly under the radar in Chemistry class!

Q. Will oxidation rub off the findings offered in the shop?

A. Unfortunately, oxidation does not penetrate the metal... it's a surface application so it can be rubbed off. That can actually be a good thing... it creates depth in sterling and copper when lightly buffed with steel wool. And it can give a worn or vintage look if just a few spots are removed, even if it is by accident. Copper headpins that have been heavily oxidized can flake a little in tight bends but the headpins do retain some of the oxidation... they won't be bright copper if it does flake a little. If you want an item to be completely black without any flaws you really do need to consider oxidizing your items yourself after you have assembled your jewelry. Liver of Sulphur is a good product for this and is very easy to use. If you have any questions about this, feel free to let me know.

Q. How do you clean findings that have oxidation?

A. I recommend wiping with a soft, damp cloth. Don't ever use jewelry cleaner or tarnish remover... it can affect the finish! If you would like to protect the finish of a piece of jewelry to prevent obvious changes, you may use wax meant for metal applications... Renaissance Wax is one mentioned quite a bit in the jewelry arena. It will not protect the finish forever so it will need to be reapplied periodically.
