About

Making the crafts I love and getting them out into the world.

I used to crochet for just my family and a few close friends. I was quite content doing this and felt wonderful every time someone would adore the item I made them. Then one day a close friend of mine called me with a question. Her sister had seen the hat I crocheted for her nine month old daughter and wondered what I would charge to make one. I had no idea. I had never even thought of selling my work. I finally came to a reasonable price (or so I thought) and made up the hat for her. When I gave her the hat and told her the price she informed me that she couldn't believe how cheaply I had made it for her and praised my work. This was my first real lesson in business.

After word spread around our friends group of friends and family. I had sold quite a few items (at a more acceptable pricing scale) and decided to find an outlet to sell a few items online. Maybe other people would be interested in my things. After finding Etsy I began listing my items. Oh were those first listings horrible! But I did make a first sale eventually and then a few more. I now sell a decent amount of items for my hobby sized business. I am excited each time I send my items out into the world and my three children always think it fun when I have a foreign order and they can find it on the globe. Geography and crafting....does it get any better?

Payment
I have updated my payment methods to now accept both PayPal and money orders. I realized that not everyone has a credit/debit card and wanted to make my shop more accessible. Please note that if paying with a money order your item will not ship until after receipt and cashing of payment.

Custom orders must be cancelled within 2 hours of ordering to ensure the process of making the item has not begun or supplies have not been purchased.
Shipping
I will ship most items worldwide. However, I cannot guarantee arrival dates. Thank you for understanding. Please remember that crochet is a time intensive process and that each item is handmade. Your listing will state an estimated time until shipping. I will keep you updated as I progress on your order. You are always welcome to message me with questions or concerns but I am working on each item in order.

All hammocks shipped domestically are mailed USPS Priority and come with $50 of insurance. If item is lost or damaged in mailing, after all attempts are made to recover through the postal service a claim can be filed. I will work with you to take care of this and either refund your money or replace your hammock order.

International Packages: Should you choose a shipping method without tracking and insurance I cannot be held liable for lost packages. Once again international shipping can be lengthy, depending on shipping chosen is not traceable in many countries, and I cannot be held liable for lost or delayed packages. If you have chosen a shipping method with tracking and insurance should your package be lost or damaged I can work with you to file an insurance claim through the USPS after all attempts are made to recover the package through the postal service. Once this is done I will either refund your money or replace your hammock order.

Any customs, duties, or other charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
