COVID-19 UPDATE:
Please remember that the USPS is having an especially tough time and that I cannot guarantee anything re: the mail once it's been shipped. Keep an eye on your tracking number but please be patient with our mailpersons, they're doing their best!
At this time I am still fulfilling orders and my shipping timelines are still on track, though I am shipping closer to the end of the time-frame (If a listing says "1-2 weeks" it will likely take the full two weeks). I'd love to fill your isolation station with art and rainbows <3
Please understand with the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, shipping timelines *are* subject to change. If there are delays, I will contact you to let you know.
Many of these items are made-to-order with great care by my own hands. Please note that because of the intensive nature of stained glass, production times are longer than some other crafts. You can find the production time for individual listings in their "Shipping & Policies" section :)
Please contact me if you have any questions, I'm always happy to chat.
XO -Brooke

Mind + Mineral
I'm Brooke Dearborn Huston, the mind (and the mineral?) behind Mind + Mineral stained glass. I've been designing and creating stained glass art since 2015, when I learned the craft as a graduation gift to myself. I have a Bachelor's Degree which I simultaneously don't use and also use every moment of every day :)
My studio is in a sun-filled room of my old Folk Victorian home in Iowa City, IA. Two cats (Steak and Eggs) and the love of my life (Jake) share the home with me. When not in the studio, I'm making a mess in the kitchen, digging in my vegetable garden, or playing in my pile of craft supplies. I also love a good cup of coffee and a cold glass of cheap beer.
My glass art is inspired largely by the natural and supernatural worlds. Each piece takes hours to create, which offers me time to meditate on its meaning to me while also focusing on each little step--And there are many! steps! to focus on. Despite five years of near daily practice, there is still plenty of room left to grow and learn and improve in my art. I absolutely love that it is so challenging.
I adore sharing my art and its practice with you. To send my little beacons of light out to homes across the country is such a dreamy way to spend my life. Thank you for helping make that happen!

Insurance is included standard with all shipping costs, thus **I will not assume responsibility for damage or loss incurred during shipping**.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately! The insurance Etsy provides will have me walk through the claim on your behalf. You will be asked by Shipsurance to provide some info as well. Be sure to save your packaging, receipt, and all pieces of the damaged item until I give the all-clear. Failure to save these items or participate in the claim will void any refund or exchange that would otherwise be rewarded due to damage.
For special cases of refund or replacement, photos of the damaged/incorrect item are required before I take any action. If a refund is deemed necessary, a full refund of the item's cost will be sent but shipping fees will not be refunded. If any item is returned for any reason, customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
If a returned item does not arrive in its original condition, buyer is responsible for covering repair costs.

I take the utmost care in packaging your items, making sure that even the strongest of mailpersons cannot throw the package hard enough to break your item. Because glass requires so much packaging to keep safe, I use recycled packing materials whenever I can. It may not always be pretty but it will always be safe!
Rush orders may be possible, please contact me prior to ordering if you need an item faster than the listed production time. Rush fees range between $10-$50 per item depending on the item and time allowed.
I currently ship exclusively to the United States. If you live outside of the United States and are interested in a product, please message me directly.
**IN THE CASE OF A STOLEN OR LOST PACKAGE: I insure all packages through Shipsurance, who will not allow a claim to be filed until 20 days have passed since the item was shipped. This is because, potentially, the item may return to me *or* even end up at your place in that amount of time. Please let me know if your package has gone missing, and I will file the claim as soon as I'm allowed! If the claim is accepted, I will immediately refund your item or send you a replacement (your choice). I am otherwise not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
