I love these chairs! I bought 2, and every detail on them is perfect. Ana is a talented artist, excellent seller, and a very nice lady.

This is art. This is craft. This is amazing. Ana is both a pioneer and carrier of tradition who puts detail into pieces in a way I've never seen before. Involved are the skills of wood-turning, wood-carving and metal-engraving, and the top of the table fits per-fect-ly. It's called a 'miniature' because it's small but unlike most items that say they are not a toy, rather than being in a different category for something such as safety reasons, this is in a category of its own because it really is a work art -- an artisanally-made piece of real pure wooden furniture that happens to be on a very small scale for most humans, perfect for some of our little visiting friends. (I have them; do you?) So perfectly portable and well-fitting, it's now possible to carry a piece of Morocco with you wherever you go. What could be better? :-)

About

Miniatures Forever: from a collector to collectors

As almost all the miniaturists my beginning was a dollhouse kit and I was hooked, I felt in love for this hobby A few year ago I decided to create my own pieces, all designed by myself from scratch and I also tried to improve my skills, doing some short courses on woodworking; at the present moment I have done 4 courses, which includes carving, cabinet making (joinery traditional techniques), inlay techniques and wood painting. These courses are for real scale work, but I try to apply the things I learn to miniature furniture at 12th scale. Making my own 12th scale furniture from scratch was my biggest challenge as miniaturist.
My furniture intends to be as real as possible, which means or they are replicas in 12th scale of real furniture or they could be transform in real furniture and fit in any real home. This defines my style, I do not make "cute little things" but pieces in twelve scale, carefully made to represent reality!
To sell my things was something that happened so naturally with no stress at all. the shop name comes from my blog Miniatures Forever and I love it!
I think the phrase I put together "from a collector to collectors" describes how I take serious this job, as it is for me a job not a simple hobby.
My work has been featured in several UK and German magazines, namely Dolls House World and Dolls House & Miniature Scene, 1zu12 and also in the on-line AIM magazine.
I also attend several miniature shows in Europe, at least twice a year.
I had my own workshop in the attic of the building I live but since November of 2014 I have a completely new space, a working room, a work-shop, where everybody can visit me, to learn how to make furniture, miniature painting and much more! Lots of materials, books, magazines are available, just come and take a cup of tea, coffee, whatever you like or just chat with me!

As miniaturist, I like to create my own furniture and I believe I am the only person building the typical folk-art Portuguese furniture in 12th scale! I love to paint in miniature, so I love to do hand-painted furniture. Check my tiny ceramics!
