I am a child of immigrants.
What was home for me, was a whole diffrent world to what my parents new to be comforting.
So I was raised by people that were alien to their environment and they raised me to be aware, curious and to celebrate the differences in people, cultures and countries.

After highschool I became an immigrant myself. I was a loved and welcomed family member in a wonderful hostfamily in the US.

I was named the "so un-german German" by my Australian fellow students and I am still sure I left a piece of heart in Melbourne with all those fantastic people who showed me their country and homes.

I know the joys of living in the cold north of Europe and know that the Scottish will make you one of their own if you care to share your time for a laugh, a pint and dance at a Ceilidh with them.

The French will raise an eyebrow cause tzey will not understand you zo good, but their hospitality will make you crave their wine, cheese, fish, crepes, macarons, croissant... and lifestyle for the rest of your life.

I have seen so many wonders already on this earth and I know that are many more to discover, but if we want to enjoy them in the future we have to be aware of our lifestyle. There should be more to our lives than just thinking about ourselves.
I studied design and had the opportunity to work on some fantastic sounding projects, but when it is in the end just about the money....just about "How much can I sell? How big will my margin be?"... many times it is just about producing pretty, but also pretty worthless things.

I added an MSc in Sustainable Building Design and love working with like-minded people on projects that truly make a difference....on the little scale and hopefully at some point on the big-scale as well.

But since the creative little monster inside of me is always pushing me TO DO things I try to combine my both degrees by working on Sustainable Designs here on Etsy.

My ceramic products are all eco-friendly.
That's because they are sourced locally. All my materials originate from and are bought in France. The porcelain derives from the Burgundy region, the centre of France. The colors used are from a French company producing in France. If I need models or patterns that I can't make myself, I turn to artisans that produce locally. People that DO NOT mass produce.

The ceramic clay I use is NOT FIRED. After long research I found this beautiful material that does not need firing due to its magnificent natural chemical composition. It is self-hardening and becomes very shock resistant and receives its exquisite fine texture through several steps of manual polishing. Just like diamonds that show their true beauty only after working their rough surface.
The energy put in is therefore my own, no electricity, no gas or coal and surely no additional CO2 emissions of an oven (other than my own as a human being).
