Minouc: handmade jewelry in vintage, bohemian and delft blue style

We are Minouc and Nienke from Amsterdam, Holland. We are a daughter and mother. We have been working as a team for years now. Designing and creating have always been our passion. We both enjoyed a solid art education. We have always loved searching fo beautiful items, such as beads.

During our search for beautiful and unique materials for creating jewelry, we come across wonderful beads and ornaments from all over the world, in a great variety of shapes, colours and textures. There's nothing more relaxing and inspiring than making jewelry, working with all these precious little bits and pieces... To us the process of creating is just as important as the piece of jewelry it brings us. We both make our own pieces of jewelry with love and attention. Being together and sharing the same passion for this process is something we cherish.

We are especially fond of working with semi-precious beads, natural stone beads. We think their natural beauty is just striking. Besides, they are believed to have their own healing properties.
Our bohemian or boho style jewelry is the result of our love and admiration for worldwide, ethnic style jewelry and beads, in all its appearances.

We also love making vintage style jewelry. The jewelry supplies we come across offer such gorgeous vintage style ornaments and beads in so many colors, just irresistable... We love the looks of vintage pieces of jewelry, made and worn in times of wonderful grace and elegance, in times of craftmanship and high quality standards.

In our delft blue style designs we are highly influenced by the beautiful traditional Dutch surroundings of where Minouc lives. Her home is situated in 'Waterland', a characteristic rural area just outside Amsterdam. Here you still find old farmhouses, wooden houses, windmills, cows, wooden clogs...., etc. Nienke lives nearby in a lovely old house in Amsterdam. We both enjoy keeping Dutch traditions alive in our delft blue style jewelry!

We share the same passion for beads, but also for wonderful vintage objects. We love antique and flea markets. That's where we have been collecting vintage fabrics, porcelain and earthenware for years now. We sell those vintage treasures in our other Etsy-shop: http://minoucbrocante.etsy.com.

Our search for beautiful finds and materials will never end. You will find the results of our searching and collaboration in this shop. We love making other people happy with what we have created. We hope you will enjoy exploring our shop, just as much as we enjoy making jewelry.
