Gemstone Beads for Everyone!

I started selling my bead stash in 2007 in my finished jewelry shop, which is now defunct, out of an extreme necessity to unload a big portion of my very large bead collection that I had amassed in my discovery of jewelry design. Along the way, I figured out that I really loved the hunt for perfect beads and elements to enhance my designs. It become an obsession which I found was a common love amongst many of us here on Etsy. My nickname for myself is The Gem Piggy. Oink! Since I had so many beads, I decided to start my own bead shop and Mint's Treasures was born in 2008.

Fast forward to April 2014. My bead collection is even bigger now - 10's of 1000's of beads and findings. One morning, out of the blue, I woke up head over heals in love with textile art and back in love with my original medium which is collage. These two art forms along with abstract art have swept me off of my feet and I only want to be with them creatively. The urge to create in these mediums was so compelling that I had to give up my jewelry design business and sell all of my stock that I've been hoarding. It's going to take me a while to get it all into the shop, but, if you are looking for something, drop me a line, maybe I have it. I will not be purchasing any new stock, so, if you love it when you see it, grab it while you can.

As you peruse my shop, you will find a wide variety of fantastic beads, there is something for everyone. All of the lovelies that I am selling have been chosen by me and reflect hours upon hours (many years worth of hours) of gem bead hunting and a progression of my own design work. I hope that you love what you find and that you love creating with the beads as much as I loved searching for them.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to convo me. Thanx for sharing this journey with me, it has been so fun and full of discovery and pleasure.

All the best to you!

♥ Hello and thank you for considering my shop for your jewelry and crafting supplies

♥ I reuse bubble wrap, bubble mailers and packing paper for my packaging.

These lovely beads are overflow supply from my own collection. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do :o) I search high and low for the naturally colorful and uniquely sensational, earthy gemstone beads. I would say that 95% of the beads in my shop are natural and untreated. What you see here is a culmination of countless hours of obsessive gemstone bead hunting :o) My favorite and specialty are the beautifully earthy gem beads, often with rustic characteristics. Every bead is inspected for imperfections so that you don't receive any duds in your packet. If it's a particularly rustic batch of beads, I will be very up front about it. Sometimes those rugged beads sure are special! Basically, if I wouldn't use it, I wouldn't sell it! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please read the item descriptions prior to purchase. I make every effort to disclose all of the details in the description of the item in the listing as well as to provide pictures with different colored neutral backgrounds and at several different angles to portray an accurate representation of my items (if you need additional photos or additional information prior to purchase, please contact me). Orders are double checked for accuracy prior to shipment. As a general policy, all sales are final. If you are truly unhappy, please contact me right away so that we can work something out. If I decide that I will take a return, the buyer is responsible for the shipping costs, both to and from.

SHIP TO ADDRESS: Please make sure your shipping address is correct. If you need your package sent to a different address, you must add that address to your Etsy / PayPal profile and choose it when checking out. Unless otherwise stated within the listing, photos are representations of what you will receive. Because gemstones are made by nature, colors and patterns may not be exactly the same. Pictures of beads are taken under indirect daylight. I feel this captures the natural colors best. Different levels & types of light (direct sunlight, incandescent, fluorescent, etc.) and different monitors may show the colors a little bit differently. I make every effort to portray colors/selections in the most accurate way possible. Unless specifically stated "flawless", inclusions may vary as with all natural items. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional photos of any of the items here in my shop prior to your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
♥ Bead conversions: Not sure if you'll have enough beads for your project? Here's a quick conversion to calculate what you will need. This is based on US conversions.

with 1 inch = 25.4mm (US conversion)

mm of the bead x how many beads are in the listing and then divide that number by 25.4. This will give you approximately how many inches you will have to work with and let you know if you will need to buy a larger quantity of beads or if you will have beads left over.

If you know what you would like the length to be on your finished project and want to know how many beads in mm's you will need, use this formula: length in inches of final piece x 25.4 = final amount of mm's you will need in beads to finish the project.

Normal, full strands of beads range approximately anywhere from 14" to 16" depending on the manufacturer. This means that half strands will be 7" to 8". Below are an approximate amount of beads that are on a half strand according to mm size:

4mm: 44-51ea
5mm: 35-41ea
6mm: 29-33ea
7mm: 25-29ea
8mm: 22-25ea
9mm: 19-22ea
10mm: 17-20ea
11mm: 16-18ea
12mm: 14-16mm
13mm: 13-15ea
14mm: 12-14ea
16mm: 11-12ea
