just old fashioned jewelry
I love to knit and sew, but find that jewelry design is immensely satisfying because of its immediacy. I have taken two years to knit a sweater, two weeks to sew a piece of clothing, but in two hours I can create something that changes everything about getting ready for work the next morning. I love how jewelry so simply declares your sense of fashion. Old-fashioned appeals to me, and if you like my shop, it appeals to you too!
I use vintage findings as often as possible because of their history and uniqueness. If I can't find pendants or pieces that are actually vintage ("unused old stock" usually from defunct jewelry warehouses in New England), then I am always glad to discover new findings with a sense of history, whether it be art deco, art nouveau, or pieces with large statement mid century flair.
I use chains, clasps and ear wires that are new, so my pieces have never been worn.

My minusOne logo (on my hand-stamped tags) is a drawing of my Grandma Pepitone, who always had a full curly head of silvery blue hair. Grandma Pepitone was the first Crafty Lady in my life.

All jewelry is made to order. I make jewelry I like to wear. It's fun finding people who like what I like, so hopefully you'll find something.
PACKAGING AND GIFT TAGS
All jewelry items come with a gift box, ribbon, small handmade tag, and small zipper baggie for storage. Handmade gift cards will be included with a message upon request. Just use message to seller during checkout.
MULTIPLE ITEM ORDERS
Multiple items can be added to your cart, and shipping charges will be automatically reduced. In the US, each item after the first is free to ship. Each item arrives in its own gift box, with ribbon and stamped tag. Multiple orders can only ship to a single address.
SPECIAL AND CUSTOM ORDERS
Orders that require "special order" supplies or custom stamping are non-returnable.

Ship time is negotiable. Jewelry is made to order. Payment is due upfront. Shipping and insurance costs depend on postal zone and are the responsibility of the buyer. There is no 'handling' fee. Gift boxes, gift tags and polishing cloths are not included in wholesale orders, but are available at additional cost upon request at a rate of $1.00 per item.
Wholesale orders are subject to a 50% restocking fee if returned. All other policies regarding returns and refunds apply.
Some vintage items are not available for wholesale pricing to to limited availability of supplies.

MATERIALS AND FINDINGS
The composition of the findings I use to make each piece varies. I rely as much as possible on close-outs from factories on vintage findings (pendants and beads) from the 1960s-90s. Please feel free to contact me about the material of any of the pieces in my shop. Although many of my findings are vintage (and therefore their compositions are sometimes unknown), I'm happy to answer your questions.
For silver pieces, I use .925 sterling silver chain, ear wires and findings (jump rings and clasp), and silvered raw brass. Item descriptions include the materials for each component.
For gold-tone pieces, I rely either on raw brass (a metal that oxidizes like sterling) or 14K gold fill (GF). I like the hue of raw brass; it's not too bright or garish. Gold fill has a higher gold content than gold plated findings and will not wear off or tarnish in normal circumstances. If you would like 14K GF findings or chain on any piece where it is not now used, convo me for a reserve listing.

In the US, additional items are shipped at no charge after the first item's shipping cost. Internationally, shipping of multiple items costs less. Each additional item is only $.50. Just add items to your cart to see shipping discounts automatically applied.
New York State residents will be charged 8% sales tax, which will be added automatically at checkout.
I ship jewelry orders within 5 business days of payment to the address you supply Etsy upon checkout after payment clears. (This does not include date of purchase.) Please see my shop announcement for any shipping delays due to vacation or postal holidays.
I ship all items within the US using USPS First Class, which usually takes 3-5 business days within the US. If you need something sooner, PRIORITY SHIPPING is available. Priority costs are calculated during checkout, so you must first add your items to your cart.
Tracking is provided with every US and international purchase. You will receive an email notification with your tracking number once your order is ready to ship. If a package is marked delivered but has not been received, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a claim with their local post office. In most cases, refunds are not available.
I take great care to ensure your purchase will arrive safely and quickly. Please let me know if you have not received your package within these expected time frames. A US-shipped package may be considered lost if still marked undelivered three weeks after the last tracked date.
I ship world-wide with USPS first class tracking. Customs numbers are provided to all international buyers. My international shipping rates are often below US post office charges to keep costs affordable for you. International ship times vary from 1 - 6 weeks.
Please note that all taxes, DUTIES and/or CUSTOMS FEES associated with international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. These fees vary depending on the country where an item is being shipped (not where the item is shipped from) and the value of the item you purchase. Please inquire with your local postal service to determine whether or not there will be customs fees or duties associated with your purchase. I am required by law to mark customs forms as "merchandise" and to declare the full value of your purchase.
International buyers will receive a refund of the item's purchase price should the package be lost and not marked as delivered after six weeks. If the package has left the US, international shipping charges for lost packages are the responsibility of the buyer.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

Priority 2-3 day shipping and next day shipping are available within the U.S. Shipping upgrades pay for postage, not expedited ship times. Priority shipping should be expected to be shipped within standard shipping times (within three business days) unless otherwise discussed. Priority shipping times vary based on distance between origin and endpoint, and is determined by the US postal service.
Priority shipping fees are nonrefundable. The US Post Office does not guarantee priority ship times. Should a package not arrive within standard priority ship times, the post office will not refund priority shipping charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
Don't love it? Returns will be accepted. Please convo or email me to request a refund within 5 days of receipt of purchase. I will provide you with my mailing address. Returns must be mailed within 7 business days of receipt. (Gifts can be accommodated. Just let me know.) Once I receive the returned item in its original packaging (box, baggie, polishing cloth, etc), I will refund your paypal account or credit card the purchase price of the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
