Minustudio.co - leather goods with a soul

At Minustudio.co I (Carmina - Minu) create every product entirely by hand in my private studio. My products are built for the long haul and should be regarded as heritage pieces. Each item is crafted to be bought once and cherished for a lifetime. When buying a product created by me, you are buying a piece of my lifetime that contains my heart and soul, my skills and patience, all poured into creating a unique piece that will speak for itself through quality and durability.

Thus, with higher quality of materials and craftsmanship comes a higher price tag.

I am sourcing all of the materials from reliable suppliers from Europe, USA and Japan.
I cut, shape and saddle stitch by hand each of the products, using thick, highly resistant waxed thread. This is a slow process which, once completed, guarantees incredible strength and durability of stitches that surpasses the one achieved by a sewing machine.

I employ traditional leather working techniques to create timeless leather goods that will pass the test of time and wear. While some would think that looks are everything, Minustudio.co leather goods are also endowed with highly functional designs.
Sustainable fashion is the only fashion of the future, and by purchasing a bag that would last more than just a fashion trend, you are already protecting the Earth from the pollution that comes with the creation of fast-fashion items.

Thus, since I do not have the means of mass producing our products, each of the products comes with the promise of belonging to a limited edition.
If that is not quite enough, I can design and create something absolutely unique, that would reflect your vision.

Each product comes with Lifetime Guarantee: in the exceptional case of stitching coming undone or other wear and tear with regards to the craftsmanship, your item will be repaired for free.

All sales are permanent. We do not accept cancellations as we process your order sometimes immediately.
Even if an order is not DISPATCHED, it may already made and packed.

RETURNS:
Please CONTACT US before sending an item back, otherwise your return may not be acknowledged.
Please send us a message within maximum 7 days after receiving the product. Send items back to us within 14 days since it was received. Items dispatched later than that are not eligible for refund/exchange.

ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN: the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, with no signs of wear and tear. It must also be in the original packaging or good quality packaging . Items that are visibly worn or used, or packed in poor packaging and arrive damaged will not be refunded.

Personalised items are not refunded unless faulty.

We recommend you get proof of postage from the post office or send via tracked shipping. We cannot take responsibility for parcels that are lost in transit, we're sorry but no refund will be given for any goods that we do not receive.

NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN: personalised items (engraved with initials) or custom items (items that are created on request) and/or any items that are not in our store, but were created especially for you. Also, items we have in stock, but were customised in any way that is not included at the checkout: different measurements, leather color or any other design alterations.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

PLEASE NOTE- natural products have some variation in grain and pattern. Refunds will not be issues for natural leather grain variations.

REFUNDS (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected. If the refund is rejected, you must provide shipping costs for us to return the item(s) to you. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

EXCHANGES:
We only replace items if they are defective or we have shipped the wrong item.

GIFTS:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you need to get in touch with the person who bought the item for you.

SHIPPING - RETURNS
Shipping cost (for dispatching the order to you) is not refunded.
You will be refunded only the cost of the item, without the money we paid on postage when sending it to you.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Items returned to us from outside of European Union: the parcel MUST be marked as RETURN to avoid unnecessary custom tax, otherwise we will not claim the parcel from the customs office, thus the parcel will not be returned to us.

We will NOT refund a return that has not reached us. If the parcel is lost in transit on its way to us, you must claim a refund from the shipping company you have send the parcel with.
Payment
We accept credit card payments directly through Etsy as well as payment through PayPal. (If paying with an echeck, your item will ship after payment clears.)

PRODUCTS & WARRANTY
All of our items come with the maker's mark embossed on the back or the inside of the product.

By purchasing these products from BengjyMinu, you confirm that you understand the nature of "Handmade" goods as containing slight variations due to the maker being human. Also, you confirm that you understand the nature of leather as being an organic material, and therefore can present scars or other marks that might reflect the animal's life.
Each mark or scar tells a story and provide your item a one-of-a-kind feel and look.
Since each leather hide is unique, products will not be identical.

LEAD TIMES:
All items are made to order.
We operate on a first come - first served basis. After your order is placed, it is added to a queue of orders. If your order is time sensitive, you MUST contact us before placing the order. Orders with special requests in "note to seller" will not be prioritised.

DELIVERY:
All orders are sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class (UK) and Royal Mail Tracked & signed (for International orders); they are delivered by the National Post of the destination country (for example, orders sent to US are delivered by USPS).
Shipping upgrades are available on request.

ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES:
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the pandemic, it can take twice as estimated bellow!!!!

Delivery time is calculated in ADDITION to the lead time. Lead time: the time it takes from the time an order is placed, until is taken at the post office.

UK (2nd class): 2-3 working days
UK (1st class): 1-2 working days

Europe: 1 -2 weeks
US: 1-2 weeks
Rest of the world: 2-3 weeks.

We'll do our best to meet these shipping estimates, but can't guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping carrier from your country of residence. I advise you to check the estimated times from your shipping providers or contact us & we'll try to help.

DELAYS & LOST IN MAIL:
We cannot be held responsible for any delays in shipping.

LOST IN TRASIT POLICY:
During the busiest times of year (November 15th - January 15th) delivery can take up to 2x longer, so please plan your order accordingly.

Missing order? Please contact us within maximum 60 days after the DISPATCH notification was sent to you. This is the maximum time frame we can obtain tracking information from the shipping company. After this time, we can no longer refund for lost in mail/missing etc. or send replacements, since we can no longer determine whether the item was delivered or not.

Orders are shipped to the address you checked out with.
If you would like to ship to a different address - please contact the shop BEFORE your order was dispatched.
It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a complete & correct name & address.

INCOMPLETE or INCORRECT address: if the parcel is returned to us for wither of those reasons, you will have to pay for the postage again, if you want us to re-send. Otherwise, we will refund the cost of items, without shipping.

OTHER SHIPPING INFORMATION:
International buyers are responsible for any and all Customs Charges, Taxes & Additional Postal Fees since we cannot predict them and they depend on the country of delivery.

If the package is declared "Delivered" - no refund shall be given.

If the package is declared "ARRIVED AT UNIT/ Delivered at the post office" - the package has not been delivered, it is held at the post office. You must go to the local office with the tracking code we provided and ask for the package. Parcels are usually kept at post office 2 weeks.

If the parcel is returned to us as UNCLAIMED, that means no-one was not home when they attempted delivery & you didn't schedule re-delivery or go to the post office to pick up the parcel. You will have to pay for postage again in order for us to re-send the order. It is the buyer's responsibility to collect their mail.

Item DELIVERED after we have issued refund or sent a replacement for non-delivery: if you keep the item, you are keeping an object that is no longer yours, thus committing fraud. We advise you to contact us as soon as the parcel arrives, to arrange return or, should you want to keep it, to arrange re-payment.

For custom made items NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES can be given unless we have made a mistake. For example, you ask for a belt 3 cm wide and I send it 2.5 cm.
HOWEVER, please note that all our items are HAND CUT, so small variations might occur (a few millimetres).

BUT: should the item not fit due to you not measuring your size correctly or not informing us of the correct size, we cannot be held responsible.

PLEASE NOTE This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England. Insurance for international items is governed under UK law only. International buyers purchase at their own risk.


MODIFICATIONS TO PRICES

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue our products (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the products.

COLORS might vary in shading (lighter/darker) due to screen resolutions and leather hide variations; not one leather hide is alike - each one absorbs the same color differently, thus shades might vary slightly.

Do you do any wholesale?
Yes, but for a very limited category of items. Please contact us at www.bengjyminu.com for wholesale inquiries.

My order is missing something?
Human error! Please quickly email the shop and it will be quickly resolved.

Custom orders? Our pleasure!

LOGO: the only items we send without branding are the leather pulls or the items too small to fit in the logo, such as some of the keyrings / bracelets. These will have 2 small arrows embossed on the back.
However, please expect to see BengjyMinu stamped on most of our creations.

WE WILL NOT send an item without logo and we will feel offended if you ask us to.
Privacy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me or contact me to enquire about my services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices. Similarly, I can let you know which postal services I use and you can read their privacy policies, or those of Paypal.

Firstly, all information is stored electronically and is password protected. No physical copies are kept in any form. I use Gmail and Norton security and Firewall to protect all my information.

Secondly, to fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information, such as names and dates for personalisation. These are kept as personal messages in Etsy, and also sent via email through Etsy. Emails are retained for tax purposes.

It is necessary for some third parties to have this information, via yourselves and via me;

I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
