Hand-tailored, with care. Wear the quality of nature.

Announcement    Welcome to Mirella Bratova

With more than twenty-five years of experience, our small atelier upholds a high standard for quality clothing, made of carefully chosen materials such as linens, silks, viscose, and velvets along with our signature fabric of interwoven silk and linen, made on well-preserved, traditional French looms which are nearly a hundred years old.

Mirella’s journey starts with a degree in Ecology, later moving on to Fashion and Textile Design. Due to her first degree, she is a geek about eco-friendly, dissolvable materials and never allows nylon in any of her clothes. Her designs are timeless and sustainable. Mirella finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration — from the vibrant cultures of Italy, Africa, and Prague, through the allure of jazz music and to artists like Frida Kahlo (and many more).

Should you need anything, do not hesitate to contact us. We value the personal touch in any garment we tailor which makes it uniquely yours.

A Personal Note

In every garment, I strive to find the perfect balance between form and function, material and design, and appeal and utility. During this quest for forever-shifting perfection, I have learned that a dress is only beautiful if one finds themselves beautiful wearing it, and only good if one feels good in it.

I have found that creating clothes allows me to reflect on what intrigues me in the world and gives me the opportunity to express myself like any artist in their craft. However, the thing that gives me the greatest delight still remains seeing someone wearing my clothes, looking beautiful, and feeling good about them.

For that, I thank you.

My professional development builds upon the idea of symbiosis between shape and individuality. I strive to liberalize the design and fabric, to free them from the orthodox definition of garment in order to transform them into a piece of art in itself

Care instructions

All of our garments are pre-washed during the process!

Washing:
• The garment should be washed in low-temperature water (30 C), on a gentle cycle.
• Do not bleach.
Drying:
• Avoid tumble drying to prevent colour fading.
• Take the clothes out while damp and air-dry.
• To remove wrinkles, use steaming iron.

IMPORTANT
Our signature fabric of interwoven silk and linen has very unique structure because is made on looms nearly a hundred years old. We colour it with natural dyes so it need some special care.

• Wash only on delicate cold cycle. We recommend to wash the garment in a bag so the silk threads would stay intact. We will provide such bag as a gift.
• Do not tumble dry
• Do not place in direct sun to avoid colour fading.
