About

mis·cel·la·nea (noun) - "a miscellaneous collection of different things" --- et·cetera (noun) - from Latin "and the rest"

The name of my artisan jewelry collection fits my approach to creating jewelry. I am so intrigued by so many different techniques and styles of jewelry that I can't limit myself to only one! I graduated with a degree in History and the historical techniques and styles of jewelry making fascinate and inspire me. I also draw inspiration from my love of travel and nature.

All of the jewelry in Miscellanea Etcetera is handcrafted by me in my Seattle-area home studio; I love gathering a pile of stones, metal and wire and creating a beautiful unique piece of jewelry from scratch. My jewelry is made with quality materials - genuine sterling silver, natural copper, semi-precious and precious gemstones, and unique glass beads. Each piece of handmade jewelry has a story to tell - a certain unique quality that mass produced jewelry just doesn't have. I like to make jewelry that is striking and eye catching, but comfortable and wearable.

I also love working with clients on custom orders. If you have a specific project you would like to work with me on, please email me! I would love to hear from you.

I have been making handmade jewelry in many forms for over 8 years. My work has been shown in Western Washington galleries and I teach wire-wrapping and other jewelry making classes in the Seattle area as well.

Basic shipping charges for my shop include USPS First Class Package rates with Delivery Confirmation. Turn-around times for processing orders is 1-2 weeks for made-to-order items and less than 1 week for ready to ship (unless otherwise noted in the listing)

Shipping upgrades are available - choose them while in the Etsy shopping cart
-USPS Priority Shipping - items will be shipped in a small flat rate Priority box - estimated shipping times for U.S. destinations can been seen on this map: http://www.miscellaneaetcetera.com/usps-priority-shipping-speeds.html
-USPS Priority Express - items will be shipped in a Priority Express flat rate padded envelope. Most U.S. destinations receive Express shipments overnight. (If you are in a rural location, contact me with your zip code and I can check the delivery time before you purchase this upgrade.)

My items are generally packaged in a small gift box and a padded envelope. Packaging may vary depending on the size or shape of the item.

--INTERNATIONAL ORDERS--
Delivery times for international orders will vary depending on your country. USPS offers door-to-door tracking to only certain countries.

Keep in mind that shipments may take up to a month to clear your local customs/duties office. I will ship all international orders with the proper custom forms, and any duties or customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Some countries also have very strict regulations on fine jewelry imports. If you order an item made of gold or silver and you live in a country with these strict regulations, your item might be required to ship by a different method, which may increase shipping costs. I will contact you if this is the case.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase! If you have any issues, please contact me through Etsy conversations.

Returns will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact me within 7 days of receipt of your item if you have a problem with your item.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember that all of my items are handmade and no two items are exactly the same. Many items are one of a kind, but some items I can duplicate. If you like an item but would like it even more in a different metal or different colors, contact me for a custom order!

Some of my items may be available for wholesale or consignment - please contact me to discuss further.
