3 out of 5 starsShipping policy states 2-3 i wrongly thought meant days meant weeks. States will ship priority - shipped first class. Contacted shop on shipping date and got no response. So if need for a rush project go else where but if can wait the fabric is nice. I had to go else where to complete my project so now have fabric that will sit till something else comes along.

Ruffled pretties. Making gathers to a double full circle skirt.

The spread. I love creating in my one lady sweat shop. I plan on soon hiring an apprentice if all goes well.

Making corrections to a new pattern. I most use the flat pattern method mostly. I adore making fresh things.

Testing the new pattern with my worker bee hands.

My favorite part checking the final product for a test pattern & new dress.
I’m a maker at heart ♥
I love making people happy and I want my pieces to express that, so I choose bright, cheery colors and unique patterns - the kind of outfits you’d be PUMPED to wear to a special event. Clothing should make you happy on the inside AND outside! I do a lot of alternative and offbeat wedding and bridesmaid dresses, as well as everyday going-out clothes for when you really want to turn heads.
A little about me - . Seriously, I can’t help it. I HAVE to be making something, and when it’s not custom clothing for you girls, I’m making desserts, drinks, decorations or something that else that delights me. I even get a kick out of assembling Ikea furniture. I especially really love to work with fun, nontraditional weddings.
But most often I make beautiful dresses for beautiful people like you. I’ve been sewing since I was in grade school and learned how to do it the old-fashioned way from my mom and grandmother. When my sister and I were little, my mom handmade our gorgeous costumes that always took first and second place in our community Halloween contests. My family’s love for sewing surrounded me, so it was hard not to grow to love it myself.
Today, I use my mom and grandmother’s classic methods in every piece I create. I hand-draft and hand-grade (that’s a sizing term for you non-sewing nerds out there) all of my patterns, and I taught myself how to create my own patterns from vintage books I bought on eBay. I’ve picked up a lot over the years as a set seamstress for fashion shows and from running my own store since 2007.
Yes, I do it all myself. Every stitch and cut is my handiwork. I even made my own wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, which you can check out here. I work hard to keep the dresses, accessories and tops coming and my customers happy (usually 12 hour days 7 days a week - this is a one lady sweat shop). It all adds up to about 800 handmade dresses a year, and it means I’m pretty busy, so you can usually expect a 4-8 week lead time on your dress (all the more reason to contact me soon)!
Oh, by the way, soon I’ll be offering custom-designed clothing at standard sizes manufactured by a sewing collective in Miami. They are local American workers in a shop that I know and trust. The benefit to you is a custom-designed piece at a lower price point in a shorter turnaround time.
I can’t wait to get started on your piece! Check out what I have to offer in my store or drop me a line today so we can chat. Talk to you soon! ;)

Shop policies
I love making special things that make all women feel pretty, sexy, and fun just the way they are. I am always happy to change things a bit, like color, sleeves and etc. Until 2014 everything made in my store was by me with love from scratch. I soon be offering a few items in standard sizes made locally by a sewing collective. These items will cost less than items made by me. Only items made by me will be available for custom sizing. (if approved by Etsy).
BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES
All wedding parties order are highly recommended to be placed at least 3 months before they are wanted in hand. I will have two price points, made to measure and by me or standard dress sizes. All items are made to order and do require time. You can choose fabrics and prints for either price points. Let me know what colors or prints you are looking for. I adore working on mixed print weddings. Special order prints have a $35 fee per dress. Solids and a limited amount of stock prints are available at no extra cost.
