I love my new print! Item arrived quickly and was well packaged.
Super fun piece and love the letter style!
This is really cute and clever
Love the quality, color and illustration.
Again another masterpiece. Thank you!
I adore this arrangement of my favorite poet's work. Very very creative.
Really terrific printing quality.
All art is hand-crafted in the old letterpress way, with antique metal and wood type and antique zinc cut blocks. New illustrations are hand-carved from linoleum blocks.
I use linseed oil ink (just like Gutemberg did) and clean the presses with canola oil.
Everything is printed on either 100% cotton paper, or handmade stock, or sometimes combinations of cotton and other fibers.
Art setup is then fed onto one of my 2 presses: an 1860's Peerless Press, and an 1870's Chandler & Price.
Both presses are manual, operated by both of my feet (one at a time, lol) at sounds of Brazilian tunes or Tibetan chants.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions. If a product you've seen before is missing, ask me about it, I usually have more. Cheers!

ON CUSTOM ORDERS PRICING:
Keep in mind that Letterpress printing is most cost effective for editions (50 copies up).
Pricing for custom orders that will yield 1 copy only (for example, a poster of a custom poem) is quite different from what you see for the other posters I sell.
When I print say 100 posters, the price goes down on each copy allowing me to sell them at the prices you see on my online store, while at the same time get reimbursed for all my work and materials.
It's possible to print one poster only, but the price in this case would be pretty close to printing 50 or 100 posters. The setup (design, type-setting by hand and pre-press proofing) is what takes the most time and it happens wether I print 1 poster or 100 or more. Once this is done, the printing goes actually pretty fast.
As an example, to print 100 posters of a custom poem of about 16-20 lines long it would probably cost something between $1,000-$1,200. If I printed only 1 copy, it would cost about $850.
So, think of commissioning a new poem or artwork (one that doesn't already exist in my store) as commissioning a custom painting. While it would cost more, you as the patron, would have a unique impression signed and with the mark 1/1 (instead of for example, 1/100).
