Hello and welcome to Mrs. Kwitty's Cottage. I take pride in the items that are offered here--they are made with skill and attention to detail and lots of TLC! Sometimes I also offer some lovely vintage items, and I always make sure to include any flaws in the listing, so you know exactly what you are getting.

Listed here are my shop policies, please familiarize yourself with them before you make your purchases--I want everyone to be happy with their dealings with me!! Thanks so much and have a wonderful day.

I offer you a no hassle, money back return policy. If, for whatever reason, you are not happy with your purchase, contact me RIGHT AWAY (within a week) and we will arrange for you to get your purchase price back, just as soon as I receive the item back in the same shape it was when I mailed it to you. I want you to be happy, so if there is any problem at all, I am only a convo away.

CREDIT CARDS: Not everyone knows this, but you can purchase items here by credit card without having a Paypal account!! Yup. It's still done through Paypal so your information is secure--even I don't see it, but you don't have to have an account to do it. You just have to go through the purchase process and when you get to the payment page, just click the Paypal button, and it will bring you to the Paypal page, scroll down a titch and you will see a link to pay without a Paypal account--click it! You just have to give the usual information (name, address, credit card info). Easy as pie!! If you would like a step-by-step guide just click this link

MONEY ORDERS: I will accept POSTAL money orders (from the post office). You will need to contact me at time of purchase to let me know if you will be sending a money order. Your purchase will be sent after I receive the money order and cash it. If I do not receive your money order within 1 week of purchase, the sale will be cancelled and the item will be put back in my shop.

I appreciate being paid right away. If you are having any sort of problem or questions about payment--just send me a convo by clicking the contact link on my shop page, I will get right back to you and will help any way I can! I'm easy to work with! :o)
I pack and ship each item with care. I try and ship out orders right away if I can--same day or next day. I know you are excited about your purchase and I want it to be in your hands as soon as possible!

I will try to give you the very best shipping rate I can, because I am like you, I don't like to pay ridiculous shipping and handling fees. I only charge what I need to so you will receive your item safely, no more. If the shipping rates seem high, you can blame the postal service! I only charge what it costs for postage at the first class or Airmail package rates plus around $1.00 for packaging and about 20 cents for delivery confirmation If it is an expensive item or package, I will add $1.50 for insurance.

All U.S. items are shipped First Class with Delivery Confirmation. Basically, what the delivery confirmation does is that it gives each package a bar code that is scanned when it is mailed and then scanned again when it is delivered to the mailing address. If your item doesn't show up, you can often bring in your bar code/track # to the post office and see if they can help find it.

If you are in the U.S. and would like me to add insurance, please contact me and I will add it to your order for an extra $1.50, just convo me by clicking the contact link in my shop, and I will do that and send you a revised Paypal invoice.

If you have opted to go with the regular first class shipping without any insurance, I'm afraid that I can't be held responsible for things that get lost in the mail. I WILL do everything in my power to find out what happened to your package, but there are some things that have to be handled on the recipient's end.


I am happy to ship to some international regions. Shipping is listed for the most common areas that I have sold to, if you have other shipping needs or live in an area not covered, please contact me and I will see what we can do (I am pretty easy to work with!). I ship First Class International to keep costs down, but that doesn't offer any sort of assurance on your package arriving in a timely manner or that it will arrive at all, sad to say. I will add $1.50 to the actual shipping cost for insurance if it is a more pricey item. If you want to upgrade to Priority , please let me know and I will adjust your invoice for you. If you opt NOT to add these extras, I will just ship first class and cannot be held liable for any mail problems that arise--things getting stuck in customs or just not arriving--there are some things that I cannot take care of when I am in a different country--and would have to be handled on your end. (Side note: I have never yet had a package that didn't get to where it was going internationally--this is just in case!)

You, as the purchaser, are responsible for all customs, taxes, fees and other costs assessed by their individual country. I will fill out all customs forms correctly and honestly. Please do not ask me to do otherwise.

I try and recycle packaging materials whenever I can--but you can be sure that your item will be protected and mailed in a clean ziplock bag or other protective plastic.

The shipping setup here at Etsy can be a little clunky and difficulty to fine-tune when dealing with multiple purchases from one seller...so, if you end up paying over your actual shipping and handling costs (see second paragraph above), I will refund the overage to your Paypal account.
