Thank you for visiting MissHettie@ etsy.com. My shop features vintage and antique items and custom handmade items. Table linens, drapes and pillows are made to order from linen, burlap, natural cotton and some specialty fabrics.
The shop is named for my mother who insisted that I learn to sew, crochet, knit, cook, and above all read. Her philosophy: If you can read (directions) you can do (and make) anything!

PayPal is my preferred method of payment. You are not required to have a Paypal account to use this function, just press the Paypal option and follow the link to pay with your credit card. PayPal is secure and PayPal accepts all major credit and debit cards. Please choose PayPal as your payment method at checkout.After your order has been submitted, click ''Pay Now'' button, system gives you the option to pay with your credit card. Once you have submitted your payment you will receive an email confirmation.
Personal checks and money orders are also an accepted form of payment. However, if you opt to send a personal check, please be aware that it may take up to 10 days for your check to clear. Personal checks must clear your financial institution before I will ship your order. If you do not want to wait for a check to clear, you may send a money order.

I always ship orders using the address you 'SHIP TO' on Etsy; if you require shipping to a different address just let us know with your order:
Typically, I ship USPS Priority Mail with a Tracking Number Priority Mail is delivered in 2-3 days (or 6-10 Business Days for International Mail). A tracking number is provided to the customer.
I try to ship your purchase out within 1-3 Business Days of cleared payment. However, occasionally I get delayed. If you need an item quickly or by a specific date, convo me or email me at misshettie [!at] hotmail.com and I will do my best to honor your request.
Handmade items (pillows, drapes, tablecloths, towels, napkins) are Made to Order; when you purchase an item; orders are completed in the order in which they are received. There is a 2-3 week turn around time on most handmade items. However, if you need an item by a specific date tell me and I will try to work with your schedule Just contact or email me the specifics and I will work with you.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS: Items shipped Internationally will Not be marked "Gift"--this is a purchase you are making and it is against the law for me to falsify this statement. Customs Charges in your home country are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I am in no way responsible for these charges; it is the buyer's responsibility to determine custom charges prior to purchasing an item.
I can not guarantee delivery of an International shipment unless the item is shipped Global Express Guaranteed. If you are concerned about the delivery of your item please contact me for a shipping quote using Global Express Guaranteed I am in no way responsible for an item after it is exported from the United States.
NOTE--Every order that I ship is insured. USPS (and other carriers) require a signature at delivery. If you are not at home when the delivery attempts are made and if the package is returned to me, there is a 30% restocking fee. For example, if you purchase $100 in vintage items and you fail to pick it up or sign for it at your Post Office and the items are returned to me, you have 2 options--you may pay shipping charges again and I will reship the items or if you prefer, you may receive a refund equal to 70% of the value (or your refund on the $100 of items would be $70). Returned items are not refunded in full. Shipping charges are never refundable
Custom orders are not returnable. Whether you order a custom pillow, drapes, tablecloth or bag the item was made specifically for you and not for my general customer base. Please take this into consideration when contacting me about a custom order.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me if there is a problem with your item. Most items are shipped with Insurance; therefore, if an item arrives damaged, it is the customer's responsibility to file on the insurance claim. You should save all packing and all damaged merchandise in order to file a claim. If an item has to be returned to me it must be done so within 7 days of receipt. The item should be packed securely and returned using USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Shipping charges either way are not refundable. Returned items will be charged a 30% restocking fee.

For that reason, I can't resell them which is why total refunds and complete do-overs can't be made. I do offer alteration fees and also 30% off on a new replacement order Please take this into consideration when contacting me about a custom order.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Layaway is available on more expensive items; please ask. Payments are due in 3 installments and item is shipped after the final payment has cleared. If the buyer changes his/her mind before the final payment, their money will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee. For example if you have paid $100 and you change your mind your money will be refunded minus 20% or you will get $80 refunded. Any questions, please ask.
