I have always loved creating, whether its a flapper headband or a mixed media piece I'm always working on something. I originally created items just for myself but when people started asking if I could make something similar for them I realized I needed an Etsy shop!
I love that I can now share my creations with people across the globe through Etsy! The items in my shop are always changing and almost all of the items I make are one of a kind. I also welcome custom requests, feel free to send me your ideas!
A little about my art: I'm inspired by the history of things, antiques, old letters, rusty hardware - they're all completely unique and aware; not a single piece is alike. When I select items for a piece I imagine where they came from, who owned them and what sort of life they lived before I gave them a new purpose. You can see a little bit of history in every scratch, dent and mark. I love the patina on an old drawer handle or the feel of book pages that are nearly a century old. I like preserving things often discarded or forgotten in a completely new way that makes people treasure them. I hope to inspire people's imaginations and that my pieces resonate with them in some personal way.
A little about my costume background: I have always loved creating wearable art, from the time I was young. I am now a burlesque performer and spend alot of time creating my own and custom costume pieces, hair accessories, headdresses, etc. I love over the top glamour, rhinestones, luxurious fabrics and feathers. You'll see costume pieces pop up in my shop from time to time. Especially around Halloween when everyone is thinking about costumes!
