Vintage Awesomeness for your Nest
I 'cool hunt' where ever I go. I am always on the lookout for the 'wonderful', the 'wow', and the 'oh my gosh you're joking!'.
I hunt for the sublime and equally as much for the ridiculous. Because we are never just one or the other - sometimes; but not all the time.
I am the last of the baby boomers - just old enough, that I missed out on computers being part of every day life (until now). My work was done at a drafting table - my favorite materials - ink on linen. Nothing can replace that drawing experience.
I bought and sold vintage while I was in grad school - it paid my tuition until I was picked up as an Research Assistant.
I wanted to be a work from home mom so I added a hand crafted goods component to my already existing design and preservation business. Of course the vintage wasn't far behind.
I wish I had started selling online and had found Etsy sooner (handmade shop bittersweetdesign est. 2008).
But I am here now and loving every sale that goes to a happy home, be it the far reaches of the world - or in my own backyard!
