The Daily Drawing Project is a practice of meditative drawing that leaves a trace, a small daily drawing that I share with the world.

Welcome to Missouri Bend Studio! I opened this shop in 2010 as a way to bring the mixed media art I create to people across the world at an affordable cost. At this time, this shop is dedicated to my ongoing daily drawing practice. My work has always been made on an intimate scale and these drawings are the record of a meditative drawing practice that helps ground me and allows me to speak in a language beyond words. These small pieces are the trace left behind from an ongoing conversation, a kind of quiet listening that echos across time and space. I hope these drawings speak to you and will provide moments of beauty and quiet in your own life.

I have been making art for over forty years and have exhibited and published nationally. I graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida in 1980 with a degree in Painting and began working at the college library as a cataloger. I continued to make art alongside my dream job of cataloging art books and working in an artistic community. During my 25 year stint there I was fortunate to work with some very fine folks, but eventually it was time to move on. My husband, Johntimothy, and I relocated to South Dakota in 2005 where he is the Professor of Printmaking at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. We have built a house with plenty of studio space on the banks of the Missouri River where we continue to appreciate the beautiful setting with views across the river to the Nebraska bluffs.

Hope you find the work interesting and engaging....thanks so much for browsing! Please feel free to contact me with questions or just to say hi!
