A beautiful ring which was bought as a gift for my wife and she loves it. Excellent customer service as I ordered at late notice but Erica was able to get the ring to me very quickly which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend and purchase again from this shop. Many thanks

This locket is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for, for my wedding day bouquet. Erica went out of her way to make sure I had this locket, as they were originally out of stock and her supplies were on back order. She was able to come across one locket and offered it to me. This is a perfect way to remember my dad on my wedding day and such a precious keepsake to cherish. I love it!

Wear your story.

Hello, and welcome to Astrid and Rose!

I'm Erica, a designer-maker based in Berkshire, England. I am originally an illustrator, and have always loved drawing and making things that are tiny, delicate, and exquisite. My creative journey in jewellery began with the idea of creating little charms and keepsakes for people; a part of their personal story, to wear close to the heart. Inspired by old story books and poetry, I began to add words, poems and antique book illustrations to lockets. After a few friends asked me to make personalised pieces for weddings and birthday gifts, I decided to pursue jewellery making and silversmithing more seriously, and learn some of the wonderful creative processes in this field.

One of the processes I fell in love with instantly is the lost wax casting technique, an art form that dates back to ancient times, where a piece is hand carved in jeweller's wax, and then cast in metal. I make intricate charms using this method, working with very fine carving and detailing tools.

I take inspiration from the romantic Victorian era, where people would wear sentimental jewellery to celebrate love, life, and friendship, or to mourn their lost loved ones. The secret language of these love tokens and cherished momentos is fascinating to me.

Some of the stories behind the jewellery I have made have been incredibly moving. From the celebration of marriage and new life, to loss and remembrance, each and every one is a little treasure that I take pride and care in making.

I feel strongly about sourcing materials from small or family run UK manufacturers as much as possible. I have worked hard in honing my techniques to make the quality of my products excellent, yet affordable.

I work from my home studio surrounded by the beautiful English countryside, where I live with my husband Jay, and Pedro, our pooch.
