    I am in the process of switching all my digital invitations over to editable files. Soon there will be no waiting for a proof and you can purchase, edit and print right away!

    In the meantime, for any order that is still edited by me, please allow 2 DAYS for your proof (this does not mean 48 hours. Orders received on Monday receive a proof on Wednesday and so on). Custom items will take longer. Final files will be emailed within 12-24 hours after proof approval.

    I'm in the EST so please keep this in mind when ordering. While I do work outside traditional business hours (including nights and weekends), I do not work around the clock. Proofs due on weekends and holidays may be a bit slower to process. Thanks for your understanding!

    Hi, I'm Nancy. And I'm miss pok-a-dot.

    Welcome to my little slice of heaven. My Etsy shop is the realization of a long time dream to create things I love for a living. Ever since I was very small, pens, paper and crayons were always my toys of choice. I never wavered in my childhood dream to become a graphic designer and one day create my own line of stationery and invitations.

    I graduated from design school in 2000 and began my career as a designer in children's advertising. After deciding to stay home full time to raise my children, I got to work creating miss pok-a-dot. The line officially launched at the National Stationery Show in NYC in 2008. Initially I sold exclusively to the trade in shops across the country and to online retailers such as Horchow and Neiman Marcus. But when I decided I'd like to sell my own products, naturally Etsy and I were a match made in heaven. My shop opened here in 2012 and I've never looked back!

    I grew up in the deep south and currently live with my husband, 3 kiddos and our black lab in Louisville, KY. As a result, my style is a whole lotta preppy, a little bit o' southern and just a tad quirky. My favorite color is green, and my favorite color combo is pink, green and navy. I love patterns, especially stripes. Oh yeah... and polka dots. Enjoy!

    What's your turnaround time for customized files

    Proofs are sent 2 days after purchase; 7 days a week! For digital items, final files are emailed within 12-24 hours after proof approval. Print orders ship 2 business days after proof approval. (Please keep in mind there is no printing or shipping on the weekends). Shipping usually takes about 2-3 business days

    What does standard, pearl and premium mean?

    Those refer to the types of paper I offer for my printed invitations.

    Standard: smooth, matte card stock perfect for all invitation types and a go-to standard.

    Pearl: shimmery, slightly metallic card stock that adds just a little something extra. This is the most fabulous option for my designs with glitter or foil effects.

    Premium: heavyweight, cotton stock with a lovely subtle tactile feel

    Are envelopes included with my printed invitation order?

    Yes! White envelopes are included with all printed orders. The envelopes will be made of the same paper as the type of invitation you choose.

    Can I change the wording on the invitations?

    That depends on which type of invitation you are purchasing. For editable files your customize yourself, please refer to the item description for info on what can and can not be edited. In the description you will also find a link to the demo so you can try it before you buy.

    For files that I edit or that I am printing for you, most of the wording can be changed but please contact me prior to purchase with any specific questions.

    Can I add a photo to my invitation?

    Sure thing! Photos can be added to the back of the invitation.

    Help! I'm in a big hurry. Do you offer rush options for printed orders?

    Yes I do! Printed invitation listings offer expedited processing and shipping options. For the fastest delivery, select both at checkout.

    How does the glitter/foil print?

    Think of the glitter or foil effect as any high-res image. On printed invitations, it will not be raised or metallic but will appear like a photo of glitter, much like it does on your screen. For best results I recommend purchasing my pearl paper option. If you are purchasing the digital file, I recommend printing with a professional print company.

    What is an editable instant download?

    An editable instant download is a file that you purchase from me on etsy but input your own party details using online editing software. After purchase, a link is emailed to you to access your file. You can them create an account in the editing program, add your own details right from your browser window, download and print however/wherever you choose. It's super easy and most importantly, super FAST! Purchase, edit and print within a matter of minutes!
