5 out of 5 starsPerfect for my needs: small enough not to take up too much room on my nightstand but easily holds several rings, and I no longer have to regularly hunt for rings fallen into the carpet or under my bed for my rings. The cream color works well for me, and I love the swirls design. It's functional AND pretty. I'm thinking it will make a nice gift, too.

The Shop of Miss Pottery
I fell in love with pottery the first time I touched clay and have never looked back.
I hope you enjoy my shop and visit often! There is always something new or different here to see.
My clay story began more than 21 years ago. The first time walking into a pottery class and watching a master potter throw on the wheel, I immediately fell in love with clay and everything about the process of creating pottery.
I never thought to question that I would be able to throw when handed a bag of clay. Sure, it took a while but I loved working with clay so much that I was happy every time I had a chance to go to the studio and improve. I would count down the days to my next class. There is nothing like the joy of watching clay pieces move through the stages. Throwing, trimming, bisque firing, glazing and glaze firing and then the anticipation of seeing the final result. Every class was like Christmas morning.
Eventually after several years, I moved on from the community class studio setting when I purchased a kiln from my instructor and started my own studio where I've been making and firing my own work ever since. Everything in my MissPottery shop has been created in my studio either on the wheel or by hand building. I also glaze and fire each item myself.
I enjoy making pieces that are functional, touchable, colorful and whimsical as well as lovely to have on display.
How did my shop get it's name? My husband nicknamed me Little Miss Pottery many years ago and suggested I use it when I first opened my etsy shop in 2007.
