Missycards is taking a short break

Loading

Note from shop owner Hello. Thanks for stopping by my shop. I’m having a short break to enjoy a bit of a half term break with my kids. I'll reopen my shop on Wednesday 27th October and post out any card orders on Friday 29th October and key ring orders by Monday 1st November.

I’ll be checking messages so if there’s something you want to ask about a product or to give me a heads up that you'd like to order then please do and I'll do my best to respond as quick as I can.

Don't forget I can write & send cards on your behalf if you wish - I have super neat writing and am happy to write your message and post to the recipient if you wish. Please just make it clear on any orders.

Thanks so much.

Unique handmade cards and framed gifts for all occasions

Hello, I’m Claire and I’ve loved buying and receiving nice greetings cards since I was a small child. My parents still have a drawer full of all the card designs I loved when I was younger - they really help invoke a memory of the person who sent it and the occasion too. Since then I’ve dreamed of designing my own to send and hope that mine are special enough that people can keep them too.

What I love is something a bit different - maybe some sparkle, vibrant bright colours, sometimes a pattern - but it's more than that - it's something personal, unique, cheerful to show you've spent time thinking about the person you're sending it you. And that's how I design my cards - with both the buyer and recipients in mind.

Starting life as sketches, doodles and hand lettering in my sketchpads, I scan my work then use Illustrator to turn them into designs on my laptop, adding colour and then I either print myself on my amazing Canon Pixma printer or have them printed by a lovely print house in High Wycombe. I add little touches of sparkle by hand!

A lot of my cards can be personalised with a name, date, both and/or your own fun/special/silly/personal sentiment on the front. It makes the card you send that extra bit special, and especially lovely for new babies, weddings and special ages.

My cards are all printed on FSC approved card blanks and all my cards come with a recycled envelope. I'm trying to cut down on plastic sleeves too - so may send your order 'naked' safe in a paper bag within the postal envelope.

You’ll also find a few handmade key rings in my shop too. I make these myself and they make sure presents.

I live in a village in North Somerset, a stone's throw outside the hugely creative and inspiring city of Bristol. I've got two kiddies and work my small business around them - sometimes literally at busy times when my creative materials get spread around the house. I also work part time in the office at my son’s school so there’s very rarely a quiet day!

When I'm not covered in glitter, I love the gym, shopping (for stationery & craft bits, not shoes!) and adore dark chocolate, a little too much!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

I cannot refund personalised orders unless there is an error by my part (i.e. name spelt wrongly from the inputted instruction by the buyer). In the event there is a mistake on any personalised orders, I'll send another card/product out as soon as possible or issue a refund.

Sizing details

The majority of my printed cards are 145mm-148mm square. My handmade cards are 144mm square. I like square cards.

Sometimes I post bigger cards on my listings, which are great for lots of people to write in. I will add the sizes to these listings.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I do send cards within a cello bag so they keep nice and clean. However if you order more than one card, I will try and group them together into fewer cello bags, to reduce my impact on the environment. If you don't need a cello bag, please pop a note in the 'notes to seller' box and I'll send it naked (that means without a cello bag, nothing naughty!)).

Wholesale availability

I can gladly offer any of my designs on a wholesale basis and would welcome any enquiries.

Personalised cards

I can personalise a lot of my designs and will, where I can, add that to the listing. If there is something specific you'd like personalised, please drop me a conversation.

Sending direct to recipient

I will gladly write your personal message in a card and send direct to the recipient if you're short on time or just would like me to. I would just need you to let me know you'd like to do that, the name and address of the recipient and the lovely message you want inside. I have lovely neat writing and mainly write in black ink. I shall endeavour to send you a photo before I send it.
