Welcome to Mixed Message. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a few blissful minutes of piece and quiet while you browse.

All my items are hand-crafted. I cut, saw, file, rivet, connect, hammer, stamp, oxidize, etc. all my pieces. Metal is so much fun to work with! I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I am learning to embrace the charm of minor imperfections with metal jewelry. It goes with the territory, especially with hand-stamped letters.

If you are buying a pendant, you can also purchase a chain to go with it. I'm selling them separately so you can choose from copper, brass, or sterling silver.

My shop is geared towards custom orders. If you are interested in a personalized piece, just convo me and we can work through the specifice.

CARING FOR MIXED METAL JEWELRY
Sterling silver, copper, and brass will tarnish with exposure to the air. The best way to keep tarnish in check is to wear your jewelry frequently, as the natural oils in your skin help to prevent oxidation. Mixed metal jewelry should be lightly cleaned with a polishing cloth (FREE with purchase). To avoid removing intentional oxidation (patina), polish only the highlights of the piece, and avoid the recessed areas.

A WORD ABOUT COPPER JEWELRY
Many people wear copper for good health, particularly to relieve the symptoms of arthritis. For other people, their skin reacts to the copper and turns green (this washes off). This is most likely to happen with copper bracelets and rings. If you want to protect your sensitive skin or slow the oxidation process, I can coat your piece with a thin layer of protectant (please specify). I also carry copper earrings on silver earwires, if you need to switch out copper for silver.
