Announcement   Welcome to Things Liz Makes! I'm expanding the offerings of things that you will see in the shop, and I need your help to do it! Check out my Indiegogo campaign to see what my plans are and how you can help. Visit http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/things-liz-makes-expansion-project and share the campaign on all your social networking platforms!

***NOTE: Sales tax is now included on all orders placed in Utah. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Also, there was a recent postal rate increase that is affecting international shipping rates in a big way. As a result, I have had to raise my shipping rates to cover the costs. As always, I do my best to charge as accurate a rate as possible, and if there is an overage of one dollar or more in shipping on your order, I will refund it immediately. Please bear with me as I adjust my rates to account for this increase.

Things Liz Makes specializes in spinning fibers and yarns created from high quality hand processed local grown fibers and the best commercially processed fibers available. All finished items and patterns are originals created by me (Liz). Check in frequently for shop updates and access to my exclusive Phat Fiber contributions!

Things Liz Makes is now a member of the Phat Fiber family! Check it out at www.phatfiber.com!

About

A love of fiber and color translated into a tactile experience.

Several years ago, a family friend handed me my first ball of yarn and crochet hook. Since then, I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with the entire world of fiber arts. I've absorbed as much information about all things fiber that I possibly could since then, learning to knit, spin, felt, dye, card, wash and wear a variety of natural and synthetic fibers. I treat every fiber I work with as if it will be something I want to use for myself. I try to use fibers and color combinations that bring happiness to the people who use them. I take inspiration from everything around me and everyone in my life; from the things that I love and laugh at, including my favorite songs and movies. I've been working hard on improving my craft for years now, and I will continue to strive for improvement with every piece I create.

I am a married stay at home mom who decided to turn her love of fiber and color into a self-sustaining habit. I've been a knitter, crocheter and spinner for years, and my love of those things translates into the fibers I create.

Things Liz Makes sells all hand dyed, carded and made fibers, yarns and finished items, made personally by me, Liz. I pride myself on doing quality work and doing it honestly. If I use a pattern for an item that someone else created, they will be fully credited, and in some cases, compensated for their help. All fiber/yarn types used will be on the listing for each item. All of my items are made in my home, which is smoke-free, and kept in a pet-free environment.
