This is a lovely little trivet. She even included a free gift of coasters because she wasn't able to ship the trivet right away. That was very sweet of her. Highly recommend this shop!

These bags are so pretty! I can't wait to go out and buy some produce.
Product design engineer turned textile artist? Indeed.
I started my shop in November of 2011 after a bit of hesitation ("Is this really going to work?!) and haven't looked back since.
My background is in engineering and industrial design. The last year of my schooling I took a fiber class and fell in love. I literally said to myself, "What did I spend my last 4 years doing?" Thankfully, I've been given the opportunity to take some time to rediscover that love again.
My favorite thing to do is dye. My work combines this love of color exploration with traditional fiber arts techniques: weaving, knitting, crocheting and sewing, amongst others. Exploration keeps me inspired and creating; particularly learning a new technique or attempting to answer the question, "What if...?"
I work in all types of fiber, although I prefer protein based (alpaca and silk especially). I enjoy collaborating with people to make (and care for!) custom hand made objects that they will cherish for life.
While working, I listen to my every growing list of podcasts and "stack" of audio books. It's an enjoyable way to spend the day.

All items are handmade with passion by yours truly with processes such as fiber dyeing, weaving, sewing, knitting, crocheting, felting, etc. which means that each item is unique and there might be slight differences, especially in color, from the photos posted.
