So beautiful, even better than I'd expected, this is just an absolute joy of a journal. As excited as I am to give this as a gift, I'm going to be even more excited with my next order, which will be for me, LOL! Thank-you!

About

Art & Soul Journals

Journals have long been a part of my life – ever since I got a diary for Christmas in 4th grade.

At a young age, I used my journals to color and draw & write stories. Then, as a teenager in the 80’s to write poetry and song lyrics of angst and unrequited love...

Into adulthood, as a place to work out anxiety & depression, grief, joy....

When I had our daughter, I began keeping a journal of things I wanted to remember to tell her when she grows up.

When my dad was declining with Alzheimer’s disease, I kept a journal where I wrote things I wanted to remember about him and sketched his face and hands.

A dear friend dying of cancer wrote in a journal to give to her children to have when she was gone.

Why do I make journals? – For me, Journaling and Creativity connect me to the spiritual element. I started making journals because I wanted to be able to share and inspire creativity in others through more than just a visual means.

My journals are uniquely designed and crafted in a variety of visual themes and styles: Vintage, Modern, Whimsical, Abstract.
Also, my journals incorporate visual and physical texture through mixed media. Finally, the way a book feels in your hands is a powerful experience.
I choose high quality books and papers in several varieties to add rich weight and body, imparting creative inspiration from the moment you pick it up.

Creativity and the Soul are inextricably intertwined. Art & Soul Journals are a place to express your creative soul without fear. A place to keep thoughts, c, record ideas, think things through, work things out, make lists, save photos, decorate pages, color, meditate, to give as gifts, write music, sketch travel adventures, create a memoir. Something you will keep forever or create to pass on to others.

Welcome to my Shop! Thank you for stopping by. I love blank books - journals and notebooks, sketchbooks....I love finding different types of papers as well. The experience of weight and texture when holding and turning the pages of a book is as joyful as the visual experience of reading, writing, and creating in a book. To pick up a book and open a book is filled with intrigue, the unknown.....always the beginning of an adventure, a journey.
I started making journals as a way to exercise my own joy for physical and visual texture, to invite creativity, and to have a place that was totally unique for me to use as a visual diary. A place to record my imagination.
