Make it a vintage holiday season!

I never charge a handling fee - the majority of the packaging materials I use are recycled. My shipping costs are estimates - if the shipping is more than $1 less I'll refund you the difference. I gladly ship internationally and will happily combine shipping.

Please review my policies prior to purchasing and let me know if you have any questions. There's a lot of good information in there about refunding shipping, combining shipping, reserving, etc.

Thanks for stopping by modapple! My vintage items and supplies are carefully handpicked with lots of care. Please review my shop policies before buying and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.


I accept payment through PayPal and Etsy. Items will ship once payment is made. All payments must be received within 5 days unless you contact me first to make alternate arrangements. If I do not receive payment within 5 days (or more with prior arrangements made) I will cancel the sale and relist the item.


I will make every effort to ship your item within a week of payment. Items will be carefully packaged. All orders will be shipped to your Etsy address and not the one listed on your PayPal account if they are different. If you would like your package to be shipped to a different address please make prior arrangements. If it is a gift I will gladly ship to the address you provide as long as prior arrangements are made. Also, if it is a gift I'll include a card indicating who the package is from so there's no confusion on the part of the recipient. : )

I ship via USPS unless it is a large item (i.e. is too big or too heavy for USPS to be economical). USPS priority mail will definitely be used for fragile items as I have found that shipping priority reduces handling and risk of breakage. Besides, you get your item faster and that's way more fun than waiting forever. In the case of larger items I will ship UPS Ground if I find its more economical than USPS shipping.

I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. You can either contact me prior to payment and I'll adjust the shipping amount in your invoice or you can pay the total shipping and I'll refund you the difference once the item has shipped.

For international shipping, If the item is too large or too heavy to fit in a USPS flat rate box or envelope, then other USPS shipping arrangements will need to be made. If the item description indicates this to be the case and you are an international buyer, please contact me prior to purchasing so that I can provide you with a shipping cost.

For domestic shipping, insurance is required for breakable items and/or items over $50. It will be added to the shipping cost. Otherwise, insurance is only available upon request. Please contact me prior to payment if you would like insurance and I will adjust your invoice accordingly for these added costs. Delivery confirmation is not available for international orders. Sorry, USPS' rules, not mine.

Also, my shipping costs are a rough estimate. If the actual shipping is more than $1 less than the actual shipping I'll gladly refund you the difference.

I never charge additional shipping for handling and packaging. The majority of my packaging materials are recycled - I collect them from friends and neighbors and keep them out of the landfill. I encourage you to recycle them too!

Refunds and Exchanges

I hope that you are happy with your order and I make every effort to provide as much information as I can in my descriptions and photographs. Please keep in mind that my vintage items and supplies are in vintage (i.e. not new) condition. If you have any questions or require more information or photographs for an item please let me know. I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with a purchase, please contact me by Conversation here on Etsy or by email at casie [!at] within five days of receipt of your item. That way we can figure out what needs to be done to make your order right. Photos of any problems, shipping damage, etc. are helpful if you can provide them.

Additional Policies and FAQs

If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area and want to pick up your item to save on shipping, please let me know and we can arrange a pick-up. I live in Concord (near Walnut Creek) and work in Oakland so we can make arrangements in any location or somewhere in between.

I don't have issues reserving items so please contact me if that's something you're interested in.
