A few words about the artist
From a very young age, I have engaged with art in some way. My parents were both involved in the world of commercial art and graphic design, and they encouraged me in my early artistic efforts.
In my house growing up, there was never a shortage of books and magazines about artists, and I was lucky to have access to a great variety of professional pens, pencils, paper, and paints. My mother also made sure that I was a regular visitor to the many splendid museums that could be found in the city.
Being surrounded by so much art, it was no surprise when I became an artist myself. I create artwork under the name Durlzy, which has been my nickname since 1993.
There's no set media that I work with, really - I love them all. I experiment daily with different materials and techniques. I'm a great fan of anything handmade, but I'm also skilled in the use of vector drawing programs, and Photoshop. I view the computer as just another tool in my arsenal. I will often use it to enhance a piece that started life as a hand drawn, painted or printed image.
I work alone. Everything here in my Etsy shop is handmade. Whether it's a print, a t-shirt, a painting or a fridge magnet - everything you see is designed and made by me. I create it all, from concept, to finished piece. That in itself adds value to anything you choose to purchase from me here. My goal is to give people the world over a chance to own a piece of original art, something affordable and unique that will also bring a smile to their face. I hope my work brings a smile to your face!
Owner, Maker, Designer
I am an artist who works with multiple media. I draw, paint, sew and print, I cut, carve, spray and splatter! I am always trying something new.
It may be a bit boring, but it's important.
So, here's the lowdown -
Accepted payment methods
Note: Want to use your credit card, but don't have, or don't want to sign up for a PayPal account? Don't worry! You don't have to create a PayPal account to use your credit card.
HOWEVER -- Be aware that if you reside in a country outside the US, there may be import and customs fees on your end. So please note: International customers are responsible for fees and taxes imposed by their own country.
Shipping is via First Class, USPS (United States Postal Service)
I ship Monday through Saturday. As my items are handmade to order, items ship within 72 hours of your purchase. Average travel time, once your item is in the post is about 3 business days.
You should know I take just as much care packaging my items as I do making them. I want to ensure that you receive them in the same perfect condition as when they left my hands.
IMPORTANT: Are your Etsy and PayPal addresses the same? Have you moved recently? It's so easy to forget to update your address sometimes, so make sure they are both correct. I want to make sure your purchase gets sent to the right place.
Refunds and Exchanges
Yet, if you find yourself dissatisfied for any reason with one of my pieces, please let me know immediately, so we can work something out. Basically, yes - I'll give you a refund if you absolutely hate it. But you'll have to mail the piece back to me at your expense. That's only fair, right?
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are made in a non smoking environment. Cause smoking stinks.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to send me an email using Etsy's convo system.
