Work does not begin on a personalized item until payment is received in FULL. If you wish to receive your item within a certain timeframe, it is recommended you make payment immediately. modernemotive is not responsible for items shipping late due to a delay in buyer payment. CANADA POST
All products are shipped using Canada Post using the best economical option available.

All products are shipped using Oversize Lettermail.

As per the Canada Post website, you should except the following delivery standards:

Within Canada - 2-9 business days
The USA - 4-6 business days
International - 4-7 business days

Please understand these estimates are not a guarantee of delivery within the timeframes specified. I have read some reports that items can take A FEW WEEKS (even up to 8) to arrive to their destinations. Also, many factors could affect delivery estimates such as custom border delays, postal strikes, and weather conditions. If you are concerned your package is missing, please message me immediately.

Refunds and Exchanges
UNHAPPY?
If for any reason you are unhappy with your product, please contact me immediately upon delivery. From there, we will discuss the issue and hopefully come to a resolution all parties are happy with.

Contacting me does not guarantee a refund. Such requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

I DO NOT accept returns without prior communication. If you do not contact me immediately with your complaint and/or leave feedback this will indicate you are happy with the product in its current condition.

LATE DELIVERY
I cannot be responsible for any delays due to the postal services or other unforeseen circumstances beyond my control*. Therefore NO refund will be issued. Most items typically ship within TWO business days of payment** and while I provide estimated delivery times, this is only a guideline as provided to me by Canada Post.

If a shipping date is delayed on MY END due to a LATE approval by the buyer on personalized products, I cannot accept responsibility. The buyer will still be responsible for the payment and no refund will be issued.

* i.e. customs, postal service strikes, weather condition, holidays
** some items are subject to longer turnaround times. In such cases, the product page will provide a overview of shipping expectations.

DAMAGED ITEMS
All of my products are shipped in protective sleeves, padded shipping envelopes and with the utmost care. I also label the package as ‘FRAGILE’. Additional protection will be used as deemed necessary.

Should you item get damaged due to mishandling by the postal services, I will gladly offer you a replacement, minus shipping costs. No cash refund/exchange for a different item will be given.

In order to receive the replacement, proof of mishandling must be provided by either:

1. returning the product at your cost
2. sending me detailed photographs of the damage

In either case, I reserve the right to refuse a refund.

Buyers are given the opportunity to proof and provide approval of all personalized goods BEFORE they are made. Therefore, if an error is spotted once I receive buyer approval AND the product has been shipped, the buyer REMAINS responsible for the product and a refund will NOT be issued.
