Announcement   modflowers makes bright, joyful textile creations from colourful, collectable fabrics of authentic 1960s and 1970s vintage.

I design and sew dolls, creatures and other textile items with a nostalgic and playful nod to the joy of childhood and a love for quirky contemporary design.

My miniature world is filled with small characters and tiny details, a celebration of colour and bright, bold florals to defy grey British weather. I aim to create designs to make people young and old smile.

I love my ModFlowers doll!! She is so beautiful and there is such amazing attention to detail. There are sweet little vintage touches and the workmanship is beautiful. Sharon is such a talented artist and I'm so happy to have one of her dolls for my own!

About

lovely stuff from vintage fabric

modflowers was born out of a love of vintage fabrics.

In 2011 I found myself at the end of my tether with a job I hated, with no idea where to go next. I had a collection of vintage fabrics, and some sewing skills.

I did patchwork as a child, the fiddly English kind, with papers, and ever since then I had always made stuff, on and off, although I was normally too shy to show anyone.

I decided it was time for a change. I started sewing cushions, made from my collection of vintage fabrics. I took up patchwork again.
Then I got a bit obsessed with dolls, so I learned how to make them.

Instead of creating a project graveyard in the cupboard, I finished things and put them in my shop, to see what would happen.

I stopped being too embarrassed to show anyone.

And I stopped doing a job I hated and started building a life I could love instead.♥

Payment
Please make all payments via PayPal.

All payments should be made within 48 hours after placing your order. I reserve the right to cancel any orders not paid for within this time frame.

If you would like to discuss a custom order or commission, please get in touch to discuss details, including payment.
Shipping
Once payments have been cleared I will do my best to have your order posted within 3-4 working days.

Within the UK I usually use either First or Second Class signed for services, which require a signature on arrival. Parcels sent under these services are only insured for contents worth up to £20, so should you wish to upgrade shipping to include insurance on items of greater value, please contact me to arrange this prior to making payment.

For overseas orders, I usually use either Royal Mail's Airmail Small Packets, which has a delivery aim of 5 days (although this isn't guaranteed). I can also offer Air Sure at additional cost, which is tracked and insured up to a value of £50. Again, let me know in advance of payment if you wish to arrange this service for your parcel.

If by any chance I happen to overestimate shipping costs in any listings I always refund any overpayments.

If your item has not arrived after 14 days following dispatch, please contact me so that we can sort out the situation. Ultimately once I have posted your goods I cannot be responsible for uninsured items that go missing. In my experience this is rare, but if you would prefer, I am happy to arrange additional insurance if you let me know before you make payment.

Please note that I have no control over and cannot be responsible for any customs fees or other duties which may be applied to your order by officials in your country. If you have any questions, please check with your local customs organisation prior to placing your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not offer refunds or exchanges unless I have made a mistake or the product is faulty or not as described in some way. Please ask any questions before purchase and I will be happy to answer. I aim to please though, so do please contact me ASAP if you are unhappy with your order, and I will do my very best to sort it out.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome enquiries about custom orders. You can see some of my commissions and find a contact form for enquiries on my website:
