After 9 wonderful years of making jewelry as Moira K. Lime Jewelry I'm excited to relaunch my brand as Katie Carder Fine Jewelry! I got married last October to the man of my dreams and changed my last name from Lime to Carder. When I took my husband's last name I knew it was time to update my brand name. As a designer and maker of fine jewelry, my personal and professional life continue to impact my work. Katie Carder Fine Jewelry is the product of my life.

The name and logo may have changed, but don't worry! You will still receive the same great customer service and unique, hand crafted jewelry and a portion of the companies proceeds is still donated to Midwest animal shelters and rescue groups.

I hope you will continue to follow along with me as my business grows and changes!

Katie Carder Fine Jewelry opened in 2006 as a part time business and in 2009 took the leap to full time! Thanks for all of your support over the last nine years! I couldn't do what I do without all of you!

Each piece of jewelry is hand fabricated with love and care in my small studio where my dogs Macy and Wally keep me company. Sawing, filing, sanding, soldering, wire working, hammering and tumbling are just a few of the many steps that go into making each special piece of jewelry.

I create naturally influenced jewelry so that everyone can be more in tune with the beauty in their surroundings and wear something that reminds them of that beauty every day. From my sketches, photographs, and studies of the natural world I create delicate pieces of wearable botanical inspired art. I enjoy finding shapes and patterns in nature, emulating them, altering them and repeating them to create my designs.

Katie Carder Fine Jewelry is a balanced combination of one of a kind work and small production based work that is rooted in concept, vision and originality.

*All of my jewelry is handmade from start to finish in my studio therefore each piece may very slightly from the one pictured.

*Items marked as "ready to ship" will ship in one to three business days.
*All other items are handmade to order so please allow 12 to 14 days before item is shipped. If you need a rush order please let me know.

Returns and exchanges
*If for some reason you are unhappy with your jewelry please contact me and let me know why and what I can do to fix the issue.

*I accept returns/exchanges with in 14 days of the items ship date as long as the item is in its original condition (with no signs of wear or use). Please contact me before returning to get further instructions.
*Please note that shipping charges are not refundable.

*Custom orders are non-returnable/exchangeable.

*If your jewelry needs repair I'm happy to do so free of charge as long as it is with in 6 months of your purchase. After the six month time period there will be a repair charge.

*Payment is expected the same day as the item is purchased. If payment is not received with in 5 days of purchase the transaction will be canceled.

*I accept Paypal, Direct Checkout and Etsy Gift Cards.

*If you are an IN resident there will be a 7% sales tax fee at checkout
Shipping
*Please remember that all jewelry is made to order (unless otherwise specified or discussed) so please allow 12 to 14 days after payment is received before the item ships.

US ORDERS:
*will ship via usps priority mail with tracking number in a durable jewelry box inside a usps priority small flat rate box or bubble mailer.
*If you would like first class, express shipping, insurance or signature upon delivery please let me know before you order and I will adjust the shipping cost in the listing for you.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
*will ship via usps first class mail (airmail) with no insurance or tracking number. Estimated shipping time for first class international is usually 2-3 weeks.
*If you would like to upgrade to registered mail please let me know before ordering and I will adjust the shipping cost in the listing for you.
*Please note that you are responsible for any customs fee or duty that may be applied to your package.

JEWELRY FOR A GOOD CAUSE:
Animal welfare is a cause that is very dear to my heart! $1.00 from each piece of jewelry sold will be donated to animal shelters and rescue groups in the Midwest to benefit animal welfare. I also donate finished pieces of jewelry for silent auctions and fundraisers through out the year. Feel great about wearing your jewelry and know that your purchase helped better an animals life.

CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRY:
*The more you wear your silver jewelry the less tarnished it will get...so wear away!
*Make sure your jewelry is the last thing you put on..after makeup, lotion, hair gel, etc.
*When not wearing your silver jewelry store it in an airtight ziploc bag to help slow the tarnishing process.
*If your silver is oxidized DO NOT use a polishing cloth, silver cleaner, etc. There is no need to clean oxidized silver, it will just take off the blackened finish.
*To give your piece a little shine put a very small amount of dish soap and water on an old toothbrush and brush gently (being very gentle around pearls).
*If your jewelry has pearls or stones you can shine it up using a polishing cloth (such as a sunshine polishing cloth or a silver polishing cloth from Walgreens, Target, or your local jewelry store). Just rub the silver with the cloth and voila!

Please make sure you know your ring size before ordering.
Is your ring not fitting quite right? I'm happy to re-size rings for you but please note there is a $25.00 ring re-sizing fee plus shipping charges. Some rings may not be able to be re-sized. Please contact me with questions.
