I've received so many compliments on the uniqueness of these earrings. Once again, I'm very happy with what I ordered. The artistic tone which violetmoonchild places in her work won't disappoint you. One of a kind pieces of jewelry that I love!

About

Violet Moonchild Original Handmade Art, Jewelry and Accessories

I love to create and have been an independent musician, artist, and designer since 2002. I opened my Etsy shop in 2013 so that I could make some extra income while raising my youngest son at home. Everything is made here by myself in my pet-free, smoke-free home studio with lots of love and attention to detail. All of my jewelry creations are made without lead or nickel. There are many varieties and styles available, to suit just about any personality and budget! I love to go gem mining in the western mountains of North Carolina, and will some times incorporate my hand-mined gems into one of a kind jewelry designs.
It always makes me happy knowing someone out there is happy while wearing something I made!
I don't plan on ever getting famous from what I do, and I do not mass-produce anything I make.
Thanks so much for the love and support of my little indie creative business ^_^
~Molly

Payment can be made with either a credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal account. I do not accept PayPal payments from unconfirmed addresses.

Your order will be shipping to the address that is on the credit card.
Shipping
Orders payed for with PayPal ship out within 24 hours Monday through Friday. Payments paid for with Etsy's payment system may take up to 3 days to ship out since I will need to wait for the payment to clear.

All orders under $50 are shipped by USPS First Class Mail with insurance and tracking included. If your order is over $50, it will be upgraded to Priority Mail at no additional cost to you. Do not choose the Priority Mail upgrade unless your order is under $50 and you would like it sent Priority instead.

Any customs taxes and/or fees, should they occur during shipment outside of the USA, are the responsibility of the customer to pay. I do not give shipping cost refunds for packages returned to me due to the customer refusing to pay their countries customs taxes/fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the nature of my shop and its items, I do not offer refunds unless your order gets lost in the mail or arrives damaged. I offer exchanges within 10 days on all items except earrings, and also free repairs for life. Please be sure to read the description of the item fully, and to also view every photo of the item. If you still have questions about the item, feel free to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible.

Should your order arrive damaged or get lost in transit, I will file a package insurance claim for you and you will be given a full refund (including shipping costs) once the insurance claim has went through. You will need to be able to provide photos of the packaging and the damaged item in order for damage claims to go through.

If anything you buy from me ever needs to be fixed, you can send it back ANY time for free repairs. Please make sure you have all the parts to the broken item, if possible. I do not keep a large stock of supplies, and if you have lost a part that needs to be re-ordered, the repair may take longer and the missing part be replaced with a part not exactly identical to the original.
Additional policies and FAQs
Silver jewelry can sometimes darken/tarnish. This is not a result of any defect in the jewelry or craftmanship, it is just what happens to some metals, especially when worn on skin that has been in contact with hair styling products and/or other cosmetics. You may get your jewelry looking sparkling new by simply cleaning it with jewelry cleaner. Toothpaste also works but is only recommended as a last resort since it could corrode the metals after long periods of use. I do not accept returns for tarnished jewelry since it is a natural occurance in which I'm not responsible for.

Frequently asked questions

Can you modify something already made and available for sale?

Most likely, yes. Please contact me first so that I can make sure. If it can be done, then I will do the modification for you after purchase. The following modifications can surely be done, and at no additional cost:
Necklace, bracelets, and anklets can be shortened. Closures can be switched to either claw style clasp or loop and toggle. Earrings with silver-colored/hypoallergenic materials can be switched to posts, hooks, and hoops. At this time there are no hoops available for antiqued bronze earrings.

Care instructions

If your silver ever starts to look funky, you need to clean it with a jewelry cleaner specifically made for silver. If you're in a crunch and don't have any on hand, you can use any whitening toothpaste, however this should only be a one-time/emergency use sort of method. Never use this method for an extended use, because it can erode the materials!

Any sewn items can be either hand washed or machine washed on gentle cycle, by itself in the machine. You can hang it up to dry or dry in a machine on low or no heat setting.

Crystals are like glass and can break, so handle them carefully! I recommend putting them on while either sitting on bed or standing on carpet. That way if you accidentally drop it, they will be safe.

Will the rings you have for sale turn my fingers green?

The rings in my shop have a very low probability of turning your fingers green because they are made with materials that have extremely low (or none at all) metal content that reacts to the body's chemistry. I also put a few coatings of anti-tarnish on the ring to help prevent tarnish as well as weird chemical reactions.

Are the big earrings you have heavy?

No. The larger earrings are made with mostly lightweight metals on purpose so they won't drag your lobes to the ground. If you need to know the exact weight, please ask and I will weigh them for you.

What Is Your Return Policy?

This is an independent business with mostly one of a kind, handmade items, so I do not accept returns (but I do offer free repairs for life). Exchanges can be made within 10 days (this doesn't include the time it takes for your item to get to me). Please be sure to read the description of the item fully, and to also view every photo of the item. If you still have questions about the item, feel free to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible. All sales are final on earrings and custom made orders.

What If My Order Arrives Damaged Or Gets Lost?

Should your order arrive damaged or get lost in transit, I will file a package insurance claim for you and you will be given a full refund (including shipping costs) once the insurance claim has went through. You will need to be able to provide photos of the packaging and the damaged item in order for damage claims to go through.
