4 out of 5 starsThe quality of this hospital gown is fantastic. This will be 10 times more comfortable than the ones the hospital would provide. I did only give 4 stars for Seller's communication. I sent a couple of messages with zero response. Any sort of response would have been appropriate. The Ready to Ship timeline listed on the item probably needs to be longer as well, as it did not ship within 3-5 days as listed.

It all started with a trip to the hospital...
In 2009, I was pregnant with my first son and stopped by the cardiac ICU where my husband works. While there, I happened to witness a particularly, um, nasty incident. We'll just say that it involved blood, vomit and other bodily fluids-and all that nastiness was all over the patient's hospital gown. I turned to my husband and shakily asked if there were different gowns for labor and delivery; my husband laughed and said no. That night I went home and started looking for maternity hospital gowns online.
Of course, finding something that fit my personality was next to impossible. I didn't want blue polka dots-I wanted a bright, bold red gown but no such luck. So I asked my dear hubby to bring home a (new) hospital gown for me to use as the base for a pattern and I pulled out my old sewing machine. After a couple of drafts, I had a gown that worked-and it was red!
I got so many compliments on my gown the day I delivered that I decided to start making them for my friends. When my son was four months old, I was laid off from my executive position as Compliance Officer, and not wanting to pay for day care (I had been able to take my son to work with me), we decided that I should stay home and try to make Mommy Moxie work.
So here we are....after many revisions and years of research and development, I have a hospital/birthing center and mom approved gown. All the gowns in my line have been named for either the mom that delivered in them or their little one. I haven't named a one (except the one I delivered my second son in). Throughout the years, due to popular demand, I've added other items, but it all started with the hospital gown way back when.
I consider it such an honor to work with pregnant women, their families and their friends. I know it's hard to be pregnant, and giving birth certainly isn't a picnic! Why not look fabulous in something that's "you"? It's my goal to help you do just that. Enjoy my shop and contact me if you have any questions whatsoever.

Sizing details
The gowns and robes Mommy Moxie sells go by pre-pregnancy size and are not the usual XS-S-M-L-XL. We do make "plus size" gowns and robes, but consider those XL. Check the individual listings or our website to see where your size falls in our range before ordering!
Custom and personalized orders
We love customizing orders for you! The vast majority of our items are made-to-order and can be tailored to you and your needs. We also can embroider names, monograms, or other items on your item for a small fee. Contact us with any questions you may have regarding available options.
Custom/personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective. If the item is defective, we will exchange it for another, but exact same item.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Sending your item to a friend or loved one as a gift? Let us know in the Notes to Seller section at checkout and we'll gladly make your package look pretty! We'll also include a note from you if you let us know what you'd like it to say.
Care instructions
Prior to creating your item, we pre-wash all fabrics in a dye and perfume free laundry detergent, as we know allergies and exposure to toxic chemicals are prevalent these days! When you receive your item, wash it on delicate in cold water, tumble dry on low to remove the wrinkles, and then, unless your item specifically states not to, you may iron so that everything looks nice and crisp.
